I have two on my summit, one on the front and one for my custom rear steer. I recently added a BEC since the 400 is rated to run on up to 7.4 volts as well and that really made it nice and powerful. Definitely smooth and even to run.
@samjohnson5173 жыл бұрын
Yes I do like the 400 it's still working great I mean I must say I did like the power and speed of that triple 7 in the erevo but the 400 is a little more convenient.

I think I'm going to go with the Traxxas 2255 servo also. Lots of people recommend the Savox 1231SG which is about $15 or so cheaper. Big difference there is that the Savox isn't water proof. Doesn't make sense to me to add a high priced servo that can't get wet. Just asking for trouble.
@jamesstubbs89545 жыл бұрын
Not bad, thought about getting that for a second, but considering after some time spent with my E Revo 2, Traxxas electronics aren't that great. Both of my stock servos went out last time I ran my Revo and then that following morning the receiver died during an update using the Traxxas link app. Since it is winter here and I don't run my RC's in cold weather, snow, rain, etc I took that time to tear down my Revo 2 and perform all the upgrades I wanted to do. I did go with a single servo setup, as well, but chose the Savox 1230SG, also switched out the receiver from Traxxas to Spektrum. Performed tons of other upgrades and beefed up the driveline. I got the same block off plate from Shapeways because while others claim that the one for the 1/16th would work with a little grinding I just wanted one that fit perfectly. I love my E Revo 2 she is a monster now and I took all the spare parts I had leftover and built a second one more stock version I guess, but the hobby is addictive... lol

I run the 2255 for the sole reason if it ever goes out I can get it replaced through Traxxas for half cost.
@samjohnson5174 жыл бұрын
Yeah Traxxas is pretty good about that
@rctechlab4 жыл бұрын
@@samjohnson517 Ends up being pretty expensive though because these 2255's need good SBEC's to run at their full potential

Going to do that with my summit because I just bought 2 new 2075 servos and it worked for 4 days and then bam servo making nasty noise wont turn :( , but glad I found this video
@samjohnson5174 жыл бұрын
Yeah the 2075's are weak I'm waiting for my Reefs 777 I'm going to put it in the erevo to try it. Going to plug it into one of the 3's batteries we will see what happens, it's an animal servo lol

Hey man! I’m currently looking at getting an E-Revo 2.0 and was wondering what your overall experience with the truck has been. I’ve heard some mixed reviews. What recommendations would you give? Thanks in advance!
@samjohnson5172 жыл бұрын
It's a great truck it is however on the fragile side basically you will break parts but you can always upgrade, first thing I would do is change the gearing my favorite is 18/46 oh and by those body savers they work great!

Where did you get the single steering arm assembly? Been looking for one and I don't like having the dual steering servo arm assembly if one isn't being used. Doesn't look clean.

Hello it's an strc here is a link for you I think they're out of stock though you might want to try eBay www.teamstrc.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=151

It's a great servo, but I went with the power hd 25kg, (375 oz of torque) at half the price, but you get a better warrenty with Traxxas.
@samjohnson5173 жыл бұрын
I have a power HD they're great servos for the money no argument, plenty of torque it was just a little slow for me.

Did you have to buy a new BEC for this servo or is the stock one fine?

How’s that servo holding up
@samjohnson5174 жыл бұрын
It's doing real good smooth plenty of torque. One strange thing it does and I don't think it's the fault of the servo, my steering gets very slow and does not seem to turn all the way, as soon as I mess with the stability control on the controller it works perfectly fine.
@MrScby111954 жыл бұрын
Sam Johnson thanks for the feedback I have to replace mine had a bad wreck and some how stripped both servos
@adambgunn4 жыл бұрын
@@samjohnson517 Mine does that also... it's not the servo (I have the same truck / servo setup).. it is the traxxas stability management (TSM) messing with it... You can disable that if so desired. It's a VERY nice servo btw.. quick, strong, and very precise.
