As asian kid growing up with asian parents, watching his father and grandfather watching their Eric cook with such a big smile on their face is amazing. That guy is really talented and you can see it when he cooks he's very passionate and talented. No disrespect to his oponent. Asian parents can be very judgemental but those parents were smart enough to recognize true talent and passion

"It’s odd to me that eric won. They both got criticized 2 times." My thought on this is because Eric cooked rigorously while Marida cooked relatively safely. They def kept on mentioning how it's really hard to cook crisp pork belly under an hour (and it really is!). An analogy would be like taking a geography test where you need to list States in the U.S. Tester 1: listed only the states. Tester 2: listed both the states and their capitals. Both testers got 2 questions wrong, but obviously, Tester 2 showed more proficiency in U.S. geography. If you had to choose a tour guide from seeing just the test results of this geography test. Tester 2 would seem like a better choice, with seemingly more proficiency in the field. (This is just an analogy. Plz don't read too much into it).
