He did however change his opinion on gear. He's been on it since at least 2019, if not before, due to WWE. He also won't mention the fact that he changed statuses, he just doesn't post noble natty videos anymore.

In my opinion, this is one of the best podcasts Dave has done. I am a huge fan of Eric, but in other podcasts, you can see a lot of the guests stay in this very schoolbook mode in explaining things to certain terms, even though Dave went to school himself and has the credentials, Eric is a fresh breath of air. Dave and Eric when they first started were complete bros in the gym, and them talking about the cat food, T nation articles, and the dumb shit they did in the gym you saw Dave and Eric just acting like children in the ways of laughing, at ease, and just enjoying a conversation about humble beginnings. It was so cool to hear both of these guys just having a conversation. Thank you, Dave & Elite FTS team, for the content, education you provide, and equipment you make. Thank you, Eric, for providing me the MINDSET TO HORSECOCK SOME WEIGHT. You two are legends to the community.

Dave laughs at how chaotic and disorganized Ricky del Hagen's routine sounds but in reality, he's instinctively done things that makes a ton of sense. Training the same lift every day = Bulgarian method. Predilection for slinging heavy weights over pump stuff = myofibrillar growth over sarcoplasmic. Bagels are just = clean carbs (flour, yeast and some sugar). Not paying attention to protein = all these new studies coming out (see Menno Henselman's recommendations) confirming that natties don't need as much protein as previously thought. Eric comes off as a goofball that just laughs everything off but to me, it seems he's a pretty smart guy that's been training hard for 30 years and he's developed great instincts for what works. Obviously, it helps when you have horsecock genetics.
