CRYSTAL Clear Water Sheepshead Fishing w/ Hand-Caught Crabs

Gotta love when a plan comes together,
Used the hand-caught fiddler crabs (from my last video) to take fishing today and it was non-stop action on sheephead! Hope you guys loved the clear water views just as much as me, getting to pitch baits out to fish you can see is so fun!

When I first started watching your videos, I thought here’s another great looking gal that does really know what she’s doing on the water. But I soon realized I was wrong because you really know how to fish. I love the way you accurately underhand cast with the spinning reel. I’m a 72 year old kayak fisherman and I’ve got one tip for you. I notice when you catch a big fish you put your rod and reel down in the boat and then deal with getting the hook out of the fish. I suggest you get in the habit of opening the bail of the reel when you set it down. I’ve seen others lose their rigs when they accidentally drop the fish in the water and there goes their rod along with the fish. Keep up the great fishing videos.

Most definitely nothing but great bunch of fish catching there, also they were beauties too. I wish we had fish like that in my area but of course we don't, we just have regular fresh water fish to catch. Still it was great to watch both of you catching those type of fish and having fun. Cannot wait until the next video comes. I enjoyed watching this.

Ty, taking notes for my next trip to Crystal River. Saw a ton of sheepshead and couldnt get them to hit live shrimp. Some hogs were in there too around some shallow water jetties.

Gotta try fiddlers! There’s also great artificial crab baits to try on the Sheep if you can’t find the real ones, just make sure to go light leader, they have great eyes & won’t touch it if it’s too thick/heavy
