I have had a struggle this year in hitting the golf ball solid from driver thru irons it's been my worst year so far. But after watching this video and thinking about the red, white and blue idea with the rib cage it was like turning a light switch on. I am back to hitting it on the sweet spot of the club. The only thing is you have to pay attention to your set up every time. Thank you from a happy golfer again

Started playing again after 20 years of not picking up a club and 3 major surgeries. Started hitting balls at the driving range and struggled with standing up on most of my swings. This video made total sense and I’ll be taking it to the range. Thanks for your video, you explained each concept very clearly and your communication skills are outstanding. Great job and keep those videos coming.

Love this Eric - now known as the Red, White, and Blue Drill. This should help so many people - even for the best players, it's too easy to have the Red side too high on the backswing and the Blue too high at contact. I've worked very hard on exactly this thing for the last two years, without the imagery to help, so I will be stealing your American Flag Drill going forward - thank you. You're the best.

@@CogornoGolf Yes, I tried it out a bit today. I think it is better for me than trying to focus on the shoulders. I can't get the trail rib cage to point at the ball though, needs some work. Senior golfer so always will be limited.

Another great video thanks Eric. I checked out your website and when I watched the analysis you did for your student and the custom video you made for them I was super impressed. I kind of thought that maybe you have team members who watch the swings and identify what kind of defects each person has and direct them to the videos that would be most helpful. Watching you take so much time to tailor the lesson to each student and give them specific homework made me realise how helpful your online teaching is. For me I have been getting lessons and my swing is very much a work in progress. I am going to wait until mine is a bit more stable before enrolling but I definitely don’t need a free trial after watching how much time and effort you put into helping your students. Cheers

Great way to think about the swing in the context of the core moving throughout the swing. I am tired of thinking how the shoulders and upper torso should move in the swing- that never really worked for me. Much more sense to me to think about how the core should move in the swing for more consistency, maintenance of posture and getting rid of the dreaded standing up move resulting in topping especially with the fairway woods. Thanks for the tip on new a new way to think about how the swing should work with the correct core movements. A change in perspective on the swing moves that works wonders for self correction and host of other good things.

Eric - why do u think this seems harder to do with the longer clubs? I don’t have the problem as much with my shorter clubs but I always want to stand up with the driver
@CogornoGolf Жыл бұрын
Lots of variables.. Its the club you are swinging the fastest...hardest....most speed. you are also standing taller at setup so naturally will be less tilted over through impact Also bc ball on tee we want to hit UP.... Irons ball on ground hitting down easier to stay down Driver ball on tee hitting up HARDER To stay down (and you don't need to as much )

Isn't early extension generally a reaction to another fault like casting which is usually a byproduct of open club face. Meaning if you force yourself to stay down, they'll slam the club a foot behind the ball?
@CogornoGolf2 жыл бұрын
100% Big early extension causes I see -Setup balance points off (hips too far back) -Open face -Steep shaft

Hey Rick! ITs a slightly exaggerated FEELING to add EXTENSION to be about to keep your head/upper body centered and not moving off the ball......also helps swing length. Really the chest is more level to the ground....but the feel is UP I talk more about those details in these: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4nLpoSGqqqam8U&pp=ygUVRXJpYyBDb2dvcm5vIGNlbnRlcmVk kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6LYg5dvoruIsLs&pp=ygUVRXJpYyBDb2dvcm5vIGNlbnRlcmVk
