I don't know, I feel like now that NASCAR and the France family know that they're probably going to have to show their books, they're going to try and come to an agreement to prevent that from happening. I would be surprised if we don't see them make some compromises and alter the charter agreement to give a little more to the teams. It would be a small price to pay compared to opening their books imo.

As a pretty big HMS fan myself… I can’t say I ever hated Denny, at least not to a point if that makes sense. For awhile I thought he was kinda a jerk on track but I liked what he would say on his podcast. Long story short… I actually like him now bc of this lawsuit and his willingness to take it to the big guy. I’m rooting for him!!

Retzlaff was better than stats will show in Xfinity, he shined in Qualifying especially this season. Making the playoffs doesn't matter as an accomplishment and he did nothing wrong at Daytona in August.

I just don't know that they really want to wait a year or two to get what they want. NASCAR likely settles quickly if they feel their documents will damn them so they will cave. Lawyers and court fees get expensive. Otherwise NASCAR continues to be high and mighty and seeks trial for vindication.

It's not that NASCAR is hurting for money, they just got to think about every single person who works and works hard to get a car on the grid week in and week out. Retzlaff is a beast. He’s one of the “underrated” drivers. Don’t sleep on him. He’s done things in underfunded equipment equivalent to KFB. Tried too hard and drove beyond equipment capability.

Stewart left partly for the reasons NASCAR is being sued over right now. Stewart was sick of the way the teams especially Ford teams get treated. JGR got a taste of that at Martinsville in the last playoffs.

What I don't get is why teams had to continue paying for charters and instead of giving the established teams a "permanent charter" (HMS, JGR, Penske) their Permanent charter (Don't have to pay for it for keeping it except to sell) while the other teams had the original plan to get charter and lease them (most of these teams are not quite long running ex. HMS, JGR, and Penske) the big three been there for 10-30+ years

Im SHOCKED they are allowed to run under the 2025 Charter Agreement terms. I always assumed they would get an extension of the preexisting agreement, which NASCAR would be in favor of because a) thats an agreement the teams actually signed, and b) the teams would still get the lower share of the Revenue. Was never sure of the legality of all that but thats what I assumed would happen

I think Custer will contend for the 16th playoff spot , if he doesn't sneak a win in . He has learned how to race more aggressive but in control the last year especially in Xfinity . I think thats going to transfer . Watch for him to sneak in around the 16th area

I wonder if there will be ramifications in other "single owned sports leagues" in the US. In a way this is sorta NASCAR's fault, when they switched to the Charter system, the France family gave up some of the power, even if they didn't realize it yet. When it was the prior system, the teams didn't have any "ownership stakes" in the system, not so anymore.

The entire charter thing is ridiculous beyond words. The NHRA isn't perfect, but it doesn't shoot itself in the foot by creating "charters." You race in the NHRA you have to perform. No one is guaranteed a spot in the field. Ever.
