WRONG DECISION AND WE'LL LIVE TO REGRET THIS. YOU DON'T SACK A MANAGER WHEN YOU'VE COME TO AN AGREEMENT THAT TIME IS NEEDED, WE INVESTED IN YOUNG PLAYERS PATIENCE IS NEEDED. I'LL UNDERSTAND IF THE TEAM IS NOT PLAYING WELL AND NOT CREATING CHANCES, BUT NO MATTER WHO THE COACH WAS YESTERDAY, IT WOULD'VE BEEN THE SAME RESULT. THE MANAGER'S JOB IS NOT TO PUT THE BALL IN THE BACK OF THE NET, BUT TO COACH A ROUTE TO GOAL, IF THE PLAYERS ARE MISSING CLEAR CUT CHANCES HOW IS THAT THE MANAGERS FAULT. INEOS NEVER BELIEVED IN ERIK TEN HAG, AND WANTED HIM OUT SINCE THEY BOUGHT THE CLUB. WHAT'S THE POINT OF SAYING YOU'RE GOING TO BACK THE MANAGER THEN SACK HIM 10 GAMES INTO THE SEASON, THEN APPOINT RUUD AS INTERIM AS IF HE WASN'T ALREADY THERE. I KNOW FOR A FACT JIM RATSHIT AND THAT WASHED UP LOOKING BRAILSFORD GUY PUSHED FOR ETH TO GET SACKED, AND IF THATS THE FACT WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE GLAZERS REGIME AND INEOS? ETH SHOULD'VE WALKED IN THE SUMMER INSTEAD GETTING DISRESPECTED LIKE THIS. I HAVE WATCHED UNITED FOR A LONG TIME TO FIGURE OUT THAT THE COACH IS NEVER THE PROBLEM, THE PEOPLE WHO RUN THE CLUB ARE THE PROBLEM, SO MUCH NEGATIVITY AND POLITICS AT UNITED. SINCE INEOS CAME IN THEY'VE BEEN LEAKING STUFF TO THE MEDIA ABOUT THE MANAGER'S JOB TO THE MEDIA, EVER SINCE THEY CAME IN IT'S BEEN A CIRCUS, HEAPING PRESSURE ON THE MANAGER SO THEY COULD SACK HIM AND BRING THEIR OWN GUY. BUY THE GUY INEOS APPOINTS AS NEXT UNITED MANAGER BETTER HAVE A 100%WINNING RECORD BECAUSE ANY DRAW OR LOSS, I'LL BE PART OF THAT TOXIC FANBASE CALLING FOR HIS SACKING. INEOSOUT GLAZERSOUT. INEOS ARE NOT THE ANSWER, THEY'VE BEEN IN FOOTBALL FOR QUITE A WHILE NOW, AND HAVE ACHIEVED NOTHING BARRING THE FA CUP ETH WON LAST SEASON, THEY ARE NOT COMPETENT ENOUGH TO BE CALLING THE SHOT AT UNITED, LEAVE THE DECISIONS TO FOOTBALL PEOPLE. GLAZERS ARE STILL AT THE CLUB WHY ETH IS TAKING THE FALL FOR THE PAST 11 YEARS.

I've been a staunch ten Hag supporter throughout his tenure. Even though the results clearly haven't been good enough and the performances have been painfully bad for a long time, I've always felt that given enough time and backing, eventually things would start to click for him. But now that he's been let go it's clearly the correct decision and in a way it feels like a relief. Wish him all the success in his next job (I wouldn't be at all suprised to see him do well at a big European club in the near future). Immense pressure on Ineos now to get it bang on with the next manager. GGMU

Ineos insulted him in the summer, going out to find managers to replace him, couldn’t find one and settled with him. @LizardKingJHZ9 күн бұрын
@@soha7271Honestly baffling course of action from Ineos that. Some people might say that it's on to the manager to win the respect of his players himself, but I really feel that the public circus of will they/won't they sack him in the summer absolutely killed whatever authority he had left with the players after a tough season (especially with the player's who already disliked him and his tactics). Telegraphing to ten Hag and the players that they want to sack him but can't find a replacement, so he'll do for now and for all intents and purposes making him a glorified interim manager seems like an obviously abysmal foundation to build on going into a new season. There's just no incentive for the players to fight for him because he will likely be replaced soon regardless and if they perform badly he'll get sacked even sooner.

The ones rejoicing now, I am not against you BUT if you don't back the next permanent manager with all your will, you guys are nothing but hypocrites. ETH is a good manager, and he will continue to succeed elsewhere, so it's up to us as a club and fans to get behind the new manager. As for ETH, I haven't felt such prolonged confidence in the team (apart from parts in 17/18 and 20/21) which I did in the 22/23 season, that whole phase of post WC till winning the EFL Cup. Erik wasn't and isn't a clueless manager, but what he was trying to do since after the 4-0 Brentford game wasn't his core philosophy, his ideas at all. He kept adapting to the players and even ETH outers will agree that the players haven't performed up to the mark most of the time. I sincerely hope INEOS get this new appointment right, because if they are seriously aiming the 2027/28 PL title, this new manager has to be that league winning manager. Let's please get behind the new manager. Thanks Erik, for the 2 trophies. I feel more sad for some reason that I expected to be..

ETH was on the cusp of breaking player power and toxic media, Like breaking a child that won’t go to bed until 3am. He could finally implement his system with a majority of players that he wanted. Rashford pressing was the first sign of it to me. The players didnt down tools against W Ham. 1H of West Ham was beautiful football. Licha was sad cos he knew the gaffer got shafted by the circumstances and there wasn’t enough time. If they won against West Ham ETH wouldn’t have been fired, and Licha took it as his own failure too. I trust Licha’s feelings. I’m sure he knows what the gaffa has been through and what he can achieve. For all the ppl that point to performance and time, Let’s be honest, he only had a decent football hierarchy around him this season. He took all the shit for the clubs deficits over the last two years and won two trophies, despite having to compromise on his style of football (for which he never complained). The shit housery of overpaid entitled players, the problems with Ronaldo and Sancho and a retarded recruitment team that couldn’t negotiate ice from an Eskimo. The rolling off of contracts, cos no one wanted the deadwood. The lazy training attitude, the crappy medical team even when he managed fitness by the book (laptop). To the media he said what he could say and he hid what he couldn’t say. Who cares if they find him boring?. He tried to avoid feeding into the drama the media was fuelling. Every interview was a disgrace. If a guy is trying to burn your house down, are you gonna keep handing him wood? Then what do we do? we handed him 17M to get lost and put in an interim manager that’s supposed to help the team score…our main issue…f stupid. They should have waited it out at least till the end of the season. Our team are mostly young and new. This shit takes time. If you think about it, their issues are around decision making, that doesn’t just come from training, it comes from playing games, taking risks and making mistakes. You also can’t play them every game and throw them under unreasonable pressure or glorify them. That’s how you screw their mental health like Rashford. The fact they didn’t wait till the end of the season is a bad feeling for me. populist approach. They should have stuck to the plan. most fans and media know fuck all about football management, business management or psychology. If they did they’d be working in the business. The emotionally driven decision is almost always the wrong one. The baby isn’t broken, it isn’t gonna go to bed. It’s going to be even worse. You’ll be up till 5am now. Same shit all over again with an equal amount of impatience. I sincerely hope I’m wrong. I want to be wrong. They better really back the next one or nothing will change. I really hope they have a good guy in mind to start with a fresh plate and not the burden of the last two seasons. A coach that plays a similar style of football so you don’t have to overhaul the squad again. That’s my only hope. Meantime, I thank ETH for everything he did. I have the utmost respect for him, what he achieved in the last 2 and a bit years with all the bullshit is remarkable. The same way Jose said getting 2nd was one of his greatest achievements.

I think it was right the board and most supporters backed ten Hag last summer even though there certainly were doubts. Sacking ten Hag last summer would've been harsh. Last season was extraordinary for 2 reasons: the amount of injuries and the FA Cup win. As the board and supporters, you do have to empathize with the gaffer when your bench consists of 2 GKs and mostly academy players, you're forced to play players out-of-position. Sacking ten Hag last summer would've sent out a few wrong messages. Firstly, that this club doesn't back its manager. Secondly, when you sack a manager after winning 2 cups, had a decent first season and disastrous 2nd season with lots of injuries, you are setting the bar pretty high for the next manager. What if the next one had not delivered any trophies after 2 seasons? Maybe some improvement but not enough to put us back in the CL or challenging the PL. Do you sack the manager then? You have to because that's the bar you've set, else you'll be accused of lacking consistency and looking clueless. Now the board and fans can say they've backed the manager, he's given the chance but he didn't take it. I thought that is proper right.

We hired a possession coach and asked him to play counter attacking, cause it’s the “United” way. That’s where the problem started. Those in charge should understand that the United way is to play free flowing football and scoring goals for fun. That should be the goal when it comes to playing style. This is not 90s where we can just hit teams on the counter. Game’s changed. Even smaller teams are organised defensively. You need a proper possession based style to pick them out defensively consistently. When they hired eth I was so excited that possession based football was finally cmng to OT and we are going to dominate games just like he did with Ajax. Fast forward three years we’re left with this. This is not ETH or the players problem. It’s those incompetent people in the hierarchy. It will happen with any coaches they bring in not just ETH. Let the coach play the way he wants, play to his strengths. Imagine the same amount of backing given to ETH in these three years, but with a twist, a possession based style that ETH was good at

When Ten Hag run the team I can clearly see that when he give out Tactics and how to play he don't have a suitable Technique Coach to implement training and tracking every player performance for each day on the field. Rangnick revealed this problem. Man United find good technical Coach then place them at what ever vacancy was available.Ten Hag has a risk taker style which is become a nonsense clusters style if you don't have suitable coach to implement training. He was a manager in one of the greatest Academy in Europe, which mean the coach team was totaly solid. That's why he was totaly confused about the situation for 2 seasons. His problem started with his political move when he first arrived, he don't want to involved with Rangnick, who hated by almost everyone but is the one understood the coach problem very thoroughly. My honest opinion of ETH was he was a middle table manager just like Moyes, people assumed that because he did well at Ajax that he'd do well at Utd yes he won the League and Fa Cup but that's not good enough Ajax would always be a midtable team if they were in the premiership. Is it sad we have sacked another Manager of course it is but he needed to go was it right doing it now not sure if we waited until Christmas then where would Utd have been then just above the Relegation zone possibly, I just hope whomever they bring it get's the players playing and scoring.

@@TanInVan Ha. Fair point. But if AJ is correct and the wages of the squad are not worth the sum-of-its-parts (to any manager) then I think it's down to Ashworth to deal with that before dumping it on the next perm appointment. In a weird way I'd like to see us miss out on Europe all together next season to be able to strip the squad down to the bare bones. Ship out the likes of Casemiro, Antony, Rashford and a few other high earners. Replace (if needed) with youth, loans and short contract solutions.

The fact we give so much support to this bald fraud compared to Ole, is outstanding. He’s consistently underperformed in the league, three years and all we have done is gotten worse, we got rid of all the “dead wood” and got his players in and we have gotten worse. I’m actually tired of blaming the players, at some point it’s not the players fault especially when it’s different players each time, this is the manager and his inability to communicate his plan and make the changes needed to win games. He could have great ideas, but a good story with a poor narrator, does not retain any audience.

My first thought isn't whether or not the manager is good enough. I think the recruitment has been poor. When you can tell me that Scholes, Giggs, Beckham, van Nistelrooy, Ferdinand, Vidic, Schmeichel have been replaced with players of the same quality, then start talking about winning the Premier League. Add to that the level of expectancy at Man Utd and you're flogging a dead horse with this squad.

You cant finish 3rd and then 8th. And now after spending £600 million you are 14th in the league in your 3rd season after 9 games played. Aside from 2 cup wins which came via easy cup runs, the football under Ten Hag has been awful. Defensively and Offensively. We had +15 GD in his first season finshing 3rd due to Rashford and a -1 GD finishing with McTominay carrying Ten Hag to 8th. Now, we are 14th with a -3 GD. He should have gone at the end of last season. IENOS look like clowns after backing him in the summer and sacking him now. The football club is still being run by clowns. I wouldnt be surprised if we are in the same position in 3 years time.

Seems like a relief for both sides, both knew it was inevitable. Sacking him won't fix the team overnight though. This squad still needs overhaul long after Rangnick said it did. It's like the club is just going in circles. The manager that I think would have been the best choice in the short term would have been Tuchel, but he's taken now. Personally looking at what Manchester United squad is the best at, speed and playing under no pressure, I can't look past these three candidates: 1. Gareth Southgate. He has already proven his "know-how" in Britain reaching the final of Euro 2024 with English squad, implementing excellent structural tactics that would suit the squad. 2. Frank Lampard. He is everything that Erik ten Hag lacked. He knows what it takes on player and managerial levels in England, and he is great for stabilizing the squad, and not making any rash decisions. 3. Bring back Ole Gunner Solskjaer. Same profile as the last two, except he has the DNA and has already won premier league as a manager with Man U, as all of Man Citys titles will soon be stripped away due to financial crimes. What do you think about these candidates? Would love to hear your tactical analysis as we, the fanbase are sure that given the same conditions, all 3 of these would outperform Erik ten Hag in every regard possible in football
