Your videos are always a cut above, not just due to the production values or film quality (although they're great) but more because you're always waiting on the next big wind or wave, and feeling the rudder wheel right on the limit, but more coz you can't wait to show what you can do, and do (semi) safely. I think you have your approach just right - not too "safety", not too reckless ... you're just chock full of life and you want to live every moment to the maximum. My girlfriend and I absolutely love your stuff, and as a disabled sailor who is determined to circumnavigate in the next few years, I can honestly say you're inspiring, so thank you. I fully intend to live my best life, as I see you live it every time you go out. Cheers fellah, and big love to your family too - they get your spirit too, bless them.

Brilliant video! the reality of the weather conditions, the cold, the wind, etc., doesn´t really show, so for anyone interested to come to this part of the world, start with small goals! the entire north atlantic is an amazing region of austere and remote beauty that has few equals, perhaps the Cape Horn. If you make it up here, there is small window in the fall where the cold rolls in and puts a thin sheet of ice on the coastal area waters and if you can, get up at sunrise and set sail in what invariable is light, winds,3-4knts, and listen the ice crack when the hull goes through the water, its magical, like music...and then go to the viking festival on Shetland on Jan 27th, massive party where thy burn the viking ship every year...Erik is doing it the way the vikings did it 1,000 years ago, just with updated tools! grattis!

Anyone that has sailed the North Atlantic knows that NBJS just tells it how it is. Yes, the tropics, Mediterranean, Bahalmers, Caribbean are lovely. But calm seas and fair winds do not make good sailors. Sometimes, just sometimes, we long for 6 Mtr tides, 5 Mtr swells and 5 knot currents. You tell the story so well Erik. Sail Safe mate. Ant, Cid & the pooch crew.

Erik, stunning cinematography. You’re smart to quit your job and do this full time. There’s room for so many different kinds of sailing channels, whether it’s Patrick Laine’s channel or sea dog, pat lawless, jambo, you solo sailors are so different yet all so entertaining in your own right. Keep up the good work… I think you’ve found your purpose!

Good to see you and experience your utterly irrepressible positivity again. Re the window. I think that we forget sometimes how much the hull changes shape when we are underway. That’s a big ask for any sealants. I was on the coast of Argyll in August and it was idilc weather but perhaps not for sailing. Calm with overnight sea fog. Utterly magical. The drone footage is too die for as ever. Go well and fair winds Sir.
