To answer whether Ernest really died at the end or not, there's actually a deleted epilogue after the bomb scene, which shows Ernest working behind a computer at his desk in the bank. The security guards are demonstrating a new computer security system to the bank manager, and right after Bobby "arms the computer", Ernest gets electrocuted at the mere press of a key. For a second he thinks he's cured of magnetism until some file cabinets start chasing him again, then the credits roll. This is the version I taped off network TV and watched over and over again long ago, so watching it now without that scene gives me a major case of Mandela effect. There are many other deleted scenes that can be found on YT, including Ernest (as Nash) getting a conjugal visit!

Jim Varney was such a highly underrated actor. I have thoroughly enjoyed most of the Ernest movies. My personal favorite is when he goes back to high school.

How is he highly underrated?? I’m sick of people falsely using “underrated.” Give me a reason why/how he’s underrated

This was always my favorite Ernest. I used to run around as a kid quoting the "I came, I saw, I got blowed up" line, but it never dawned on me until you reminded me that the movie just ends there

This has been one of my all time favorite movies for many, many years now. It's super over the top in every way that makes it amazing. This and Earnest Scared Stupid are two of the most hilarious movies I've ever seen!

I used to watch Ernest goes to Camp at least once a summer. With Caddyshack and Field of Dreams.

right on, some recommendations i might add are Summer Vacation and The Great Outdoors, both starring John Candy, great movies.

I loved this movie as a kid, actually I loved all the Ernest movies. I was so pumped when I’d catch the tv show on but I never knew what time it aired so it was always a surprise when I’d get to see it. Great video review guys.

I knew someone who was neighbors with Jim Varney and he was apparently just the best, nicest, most kind man on the planet.
