Saw this one in my local gun store. Very tempting. It checked all the boxes I want in a shotgun.

I've been wanting to get an OD version of the 1301 but this checks all the boxes other than the color. I'm definitely going to get a 1301 and this might just be the best version I've seen so far.

Yeah, it is pricy. But add all the parts that come on the gun. The 1301, the Mag Pul Stock and adaptor, Heat Shield, Optic mount, Optic, Light, Light Switch, Light mount, Sling Swivel QDs, QD sling swivels, sling, trigger job, etc. MSRP of all those parts far exceed that price point, and that is hoping you don't have to pay a gunsmith to install them or shipping on the parts.

Don't forget about dealing with the magazine tube cap on your next generation! It's a pain having to take the barrel clamp off in order to snug it down.

You're killing me! I want that heat shield but it won't fit my "aftermarket" Zhakov handguard. Sweet rig, for sure!

@@LangdonTactical It's the adapter that I have from a different vendor. I have the newest gen adapter from the "A" brand. It has M-LOK slots where your heat shield would mount.

Velcro side saddles suck. I’m tired of pretending they don’t
@onpsxmemberАй бұрын
You mean all velcro including soft loops or velcro attachment with rigid loops? Being able to quickly change/replace a strip by velcro is nice.
@LangdonTacticalАй бұрын
This Vang Comp is actually very robust. Much better than the old side saddles we all used to run.
@HucklebergАй бұрын
The Esstac stuff always peels away no matter how well you prep the receiver. Does the VC product hold the adhesive better?
@SuperTrb0Ай бұрын
@langdonTactical I understand you are trying to sell something and while VC makes some really high quality products, Velcro side saddle suck, including the VC ones. They don’t like to get wet or cold, when you change out the card on the side of the gun in training sessions, it often doesn’t stay on the gun and will fly off if you have to run or under recoil during a mag dump. Slinging the gun to transition to a sidearm will also cause the Velcro side saddle to come off as it catches your chest rig or plate carrier. In the summer heat the adhesive holding the loop fabric can come loose, especially if you leave your gun in a hot car or trunk for long periods of time. You go to remove the empty shell card off the side of your gun and the entire loop section comes with it because the adhesive failed. Finally, you can’t leave them loaded on the gun, (which is kind of the point of having a side saddle in the first place), because the elastic wears out. Velcro side saddles are a bandaid solution. Both the 1301 and the A300UP need a fixed side saddle that holds 7-8 rounds. I’d personally like to see something set up that utilizes the Magpul SGA adapter at the back of the receiver, something that extends out and gives you 8 shells on the side of the gun. This way you don’t have to attach a side saddle to the drilled and tapped section at the top of the receiver like the Mesa Tactical product.
@SuperTrb0Ай бұрын
@@onpsxmember It is nice but it rarely pans out when you actually start pushing your gun. It’s fine for a range sesh or two but in a hard training environment they often fail. I wish this wasn’t the case but it is. I still like the shell cards to transport rounds though and that is pretty much what I use my Esstac cards for now.
