If I'm being honest i believe she was talking about the Black race. Before the history of our slavery we were Gods, Kings, and Queens. This song was ahead of its time. To know this was recorded in 1996 is mind-blowing. I think this was when R&B was shifting in sound and started to progress in a more "neo-soul"-leaning sound, with the addition of futuristic counterparts like Aaliyah's "One in a Million" album. After all, both projects were released that same year. Crazy, but so cool. This sounds something that would be released in the year 2000.

knowledge IS wealth, how do you think the wealthy became wealthy to begin with? well i can’t blame you for thinking knowledge isn’t wealth since most of us are stupid
@johnnydtractive4 жыл бұрын
@@islandbreeze5331 I know knowledge is wealth, I wrote 'imagine if we lived in a world that knows it too'. We live in a world that is contemptuous of knowledge & truth--this world prefers power over knowledge, and comforting lies over the truth. Also, wealth is overwhelmingly inherited--wealthy people have money because they were born into wealth. And the origins of most wealth is not knowledge, it's EXPLOITATION, especially exploitation of poor people of colour around the world.
