Fabian81 I saw and hear all that music and a love a lot of that songs too but still having good mucic today (like Alexander Rybak, Lorene or some "not winers") but I know that there are bullshit too... like verska verduchka or the old grandmas from rusia. The only thing im totally agree with you is the fact that televote ruin the show... neighbours voting neighbours... i dont like that... maybe we shouldnt know where the artist is from until he/she wins. Are you agree with me?
@starrydustin20137 жыл бұрын
+ @ Ahs Roxahs I already wrote this somewhere above but I think I can repeat for the sake of that I like how you watched older performances too even though you are younger pearson apparently (hey, I'm too! ^^). It is MORE than ten years here in this thing - her costume on 1:39 is refference to 1999 swedish performance when costume was exactly like that, for one example. I am also too young to know how eurovision used to look like without televoting ~ I started watching it with my parents around 1998 I think and that was first time I was allowed to stay up so late for other reason than New Year :p. another thing! Verka Serduchka is not "bulls#it" as you say - it was serious ukrainian political message - but it was camouflaged into something funny and silly. In case you didn't found out so far - "lasha tumbai" is actually suppoused to be a phonetical remind of words "Russia, goodbye!". Ukraine sent another song to eurovision, with political (~anti-russian~) message with "1944". -That time, like we all know, it won... Also I actually like televoting... it shows political tendencies of masses from different countries... it is a thrill :p. Eurovision was created with politics taken into consideration... you cannot now totally isolate it from it. Afterall, this way it is more popular, I think. ;) And popularity of Eurovision brings Europe together... So I would not agree with this pearson either, who said as a reply to your comment, that we are forgetting why Eurovision was created for. Maybe we kinda are indeed forgetting about that *while watching it* nowadays, but for sure it has the same impact like it is *supposed to* have on ~europeans (and in last years Australia,... apparently..., too).

+jimsid1 are you being facetious?
@jimsid18 жыл бұрын
bubblegumplastic Of course not. The musical level of the contest this year was excellent with great singers, good performances and very good songs overall and the focus should be on them. This interval act was funny but I saw it did more damage than good after all as it perpetuated some false stereotypes about the contest that should be left to die as they no longer exist anyway. The vision the initial commenter has for the contest is falling apart thankfully, the contest is rapidly regaining credibility throughout Europe and many great artists are coming on the esc stage nowadays. I hope the initial commenter (and you if you share that pitiful vision for the contest) to find a circus to satisfy your needs - cause the contest wont do it for you anymore sorry.
@jimsid18 жыл бұрын
Oh and to the initial commenter : Thankfully you do not get to define what the contest will be about - the contest should be about worthy representatives of the musical scene of each country singing songs that will enter the european charts after the final - as it happens now. As I said already, go to a circus to get what you want cause esc has thankfully stopped being that.
