They never got passed my sound alarms. And I agree.. I have BAD insomnia and found steady rain videos on YT that help me sleep..

@@Ivarr.Bergmann.Alaska The sound of rain is the only thing that makes me sleep sound when out and about. I transitioned from tent to tarp years ago, because it makes me be more at ease. I can only sleep in cycles of three/four hours at a time, and rarely dead-to-the-world...always awake in the back of my mind, always ready... The Painted Chow chow Bear and Big Bear are getting restless in your backyard...stay safe!

I have one of those recon flectarn tents, ......bit on the heavy side compared to many lightweight trail tents but they are reliable, always found mine cosy too.....especially in the rain. That Glock and AK!....such peace of mind......you are a lucky man Ivarr.......the Gods walk with you!

I literally think they were yesterday. Like something bad was gonna happen so they kept me from nearly every path going deeper. It was ridiculous how much got in our way. Even at one point after i ran out of options, I decided to go over a mnt and what do you know- mnt goats in the way that wouldn't move and were too close to risk Dayn making chase ....

Nice set up, weapons in a small tent never easy. Shelter sheet provides extra space and potential arcs of fire.

Its the "recon" version.. so far so good. I dont trust any tent though. I always tarp mine regardless..

Its g2g... i worry about the poles though. Ive re-inforced them with gorilla tape.

@@Ivarr.Bergmann.Alaska Thats one on my big worries about modern tents. I have seen the collapsible tent poles break. Long distance hikers started to figure that out too. Trekking pole tents are the current thing, where they use their trekking poles instead of tent poles. I think it's more sustainable since you can just cut a stick to size, or even tie it off to a tree trunk. Glad the tent works for you. I always liked sleeping in a good tent.
