Someone below pointed out something that I thought was worth noting here. I forgot to mention that California also has places away from the big cities that are not in such a fearful state. Where life is going on as normal for the most part. I've even heard that San Diego is much more normal than the Bay Area these days. California is a massive and unbelievably beautiful state and my heart is here. That's why it's sad to see it so mismanaged and dragged down with draconian policies--that by the numbers at a state level--are not making it much better off with covid deaths than a state like Florida that is charging forward, free, and open. And that's not to mention all of the other things that come with a repressed society like depression, losing a job or business, kids not in school, etc. Kids in Florida have been in school all school year and kids and San Francisco are still "learning" from home almost a year into this pandemic (actually private schools are open but public schools are closed, that's nice isn't it? 🤔). It's brutal for both the kids and parents here. I meet up with the most rebellious skater kids on the streets of SF, the types of kids that were like me and hated school... they all uniformly say how much they want to go to school now and how they feel like their lives are on pause. I don't have all the answers guys and I'm not pretending to. I just wanted to show you what I saw and also document this moment in history, to ask some of the questions I think we all want answers to. Also, I really want to get in with some frontline workers in L.A. so if any of you know someone working on the frontline of this pandemic in L.A. please contact me at: contact@petersantenello.com

You are not taking into account that many no symptoms cases enter into the country through California. California is a huge economy and essential workers still pack the freeways. People is the Bay Area still travel and shops. Look at San Francisco freeways on the weekend. Look at KZbin videos of Californian visiting Tahoe, Yosemite, Vegas. Look at the outdoor dining on the local news. California is not locked up like Italy and China. California just have stay at home order to reduce cases to manageable levels and protect the spread to other parts of the country. Not everyone are vulnerable. It is your opinions to wether or not to protect those that are vulnerable in your communities, and the rest of the country. Grandmas and grandpas that helped built this country. Grandmas and grandpas that still teaches your children in school. The unfortunate people who are sick and defenseless. As Americans you have the freedom to choose. Help protect other American or wish that they Rest In Peace.

Florida Native here, truth.. Florida is for tourist. Most of the locals are not out and about. With no lockdowns people can work. Florida has the worst unemployment benefits and does not care about the people. As a Floridian, obviously who runs your state is important. I'm independent but the stark difference from blue states to red states is undeniable unless your so bias you ignore facts. Also, we are dealing with Covid better because being open for so long we realized that the lockdowns don't work and only cause more economic and health problems. So the longer we are open the more we want to stay free and learn what works. Having the government or nongovernmental entities figure this out never works, you think people would know this. The Great Reset! That's what this is all about not about protecting granny. We are free down here but they are coming for us. For all of us.

Exactly. Peter said this isn’t political. It absolutely is! There is more to the shut downs than just Covid. As we can see from states that have not shut down vs those that are currently shut down. There isn’t much difference in Covid transmissions or death rates. But our businesses are suffering, people are suffering. Our children are suffering! This is about crippling our economy, our middle class. Make us more dependent on the government. Making way to a socialist/communist government. People need to wake up and fight for their liberty before it’s too late.

Annie Cruz you are absolutely correct! We’re being played as Peter said. Good news is some people are waking up to this. But it is also absolutely frightening to see how effective this brainwashing has been on the younger generation. It has completely bought into this tyrannical “trial balloon” called COVID and all of its consequences that are intended to instill total fear and to completely destroy all ability for critical thinking The intent is for us to be totally comfortable being controlled by big tech, big government and our corrupt elites. All of this is being sold to us under the facade of building a more “tolerant and just” society. So that anyone who pushes back against the tyranny gets labeled as a an undesirable who should be ousted from mainstream society.

I'm personally torn. On one hand, I agree with Peter and others that the numbers show total lockdowns have not been the answer, and the toll they have taken on our country's collective mental health...well, we all know how devastating that has been. On the other, I lost a family member to the virus, and I am disappointed many Americans think it's totally absurd for the less vulnerable of us to make a few sacrifices for those more vulnerable to the virus. Though the extent of their efficacy is definitely up for debate, I have no doubt that lockdowns saved at least a handful of lives - maybe my parents, maybe yours. Looking forward to what you discover in Los Angeles.

I find this video to be incredibly disingenuous and misleading. First of all, in your San Francisco video, you went to literally the worst part of town, which is primarily a business district and not where people live, to portray the entire city as some kind of apocalyptic hellhole. Why didn't you go to any of the places where people spend their time? No parks? No areas with lots of restaurants? In fact, most restaurants in California with outdoor dining are open and have been open for a long time, with occasional short periods of closure. Hello? Do you even live here? Why don't you go take a look at Dolores Park on a Saturday and see how many people are there? Also, the amount of Covid cases and deaths in San Francisco has been much much lower than the rest of the state, and far below that of Florida. Go down to the beaches in the Bay Area or in LA and you will see thousands of people out and about, and plenty of restaurants open, much like in this Florida visit. I get you are trying to get clickbaity views, but come on.

There is still people here in certain places in Florida like Lake City and other smaller towns that might be more closed. But at the end of the day his video shows that being open is a good thing it helps out blue collar workers more than anything and if the numbers don't show a huge difference between lock down and staying open then is the smarter option I would definitely say England is probably one of the most depressed places on this planet with their crazy lockdown

There are a number of problems with directly comparing CA and Florida. It is not like with like. Many of the deaths in CA have been in LA which has one of the highest population densities in the US. There is nothing comparable in Florida. Deaths in San F are incredibly low 468. Miami a smaller city has had 5,792 deaths. So SF has saved thousands of lives in comparison with their tougher approach. That is not something to be brushed off lightly. The US average death rate is 1,695 per million. South Dakota which as has one of the slackest COVID measures average death rate is 2,179 one of the highest in the US (which makes it even more shocking giving the low population density). Vermont, a not too dissimilar population level, which has one of the most strict COVID measures has 359 deaths per million, one of the lowest. Can you imagine the number of deaths there would have been in a populous area like LA if it had taken the S Dakota approach?

And look how Florida is allowing a Bill Gates funded company to release 750 million genetically modified mosquitos into the environment(what can possibly go wrong?). The governor is being groomed as being one of the good guys but he'll pull the rug out from under you too, just like Trump did. I didn't wear a mask at all, not even when I visited my local Publix at the beginning of the hysteria, which had a mask "requirement", and no one ever said anything to me about it. Of course, now we know the truth about masks thanks to the FOIA release which included some of Fauci's correspondence, and it appears that they just wanted to see how far they could push us. That’s fascinating Peter. I’m from the uk and we are currently in a Californian style lockdown (only allowed to leave home for exercise and medical help or food). Interestingly Sweden has adopted a much more liberal approach to restrictions similar to Florida and the have a similar death rate to the uk with very tough restrictions. Personally I think this boils down to people taking precautions based on their own risk factors. Great content and keep up the good work!

UK population density much higher than Sweden. A better comparison would be Sweden with other Nordic countries like Norway , Denmark and Finland that have similar population density. That comparison showed Swedish approach failed big time. I admire Peter's channel, but think his comparisons of Florida and California figures need to be treated with caution. Florida has a huge population of tourists as we can see from this video. Are many of the cases contracted returning to other states where they infect older more vulnerable people but only showing on those other states statistics? Also how accurate are Florida's statistics? Many accusations in the first wave that as Fl's statistics exploded the governor had recording methods altered to read the way he'd prefer them to look.
@charlielawson137
@charlielawson137 3 жыл бұрын
@@seandoherty925 indeed probably better to compare the uk with France or Italy in terms of population density. I’m not anti lockdown in any way but there are incredibly damaging for young people especially. Not sure we will every be able to compare who did well and what the right approach was as the end of the pandemic as every country records statistics so differently and it gets political too. Leaving the health aspect to one side this video really shows how damaging lockdowns are to people’s well-being. Also I think the uk is at a disadvantage also due to the country being relatively small as well as dense in terms of population.

Let's look at the numbers as of 2-19, Miami-Dade has had 5,280 Covid deaths and SF 394. There is a population difference but even factoring that in, SF has had much better results with Covid. LA has been less restrictive than SF and their Covid deaths are much higher. I don't sense the anxiety that you are seeing in SF. The financial district is a ghost town because workers in tech and finance are working from home. I live near Golden Gate Park and it's full of people. I go hiking in Marin county every weekend and people are on the trails. People are more mindful in SF than other places with the masks especially the Asian communities. Chinatown was especially susceptible to Covid and they did a remarkable job of protecting a vulnerable population. The principal nursing home in SF had very few Covid deaths because the city was on top of it. Covid has hurt the Latino population in California especially in SoCal for a variety of reasons including crowded living conditions.
