Thanks for making your films Nico. My wife is going through chemotherapy at the moment. I love watching your adventures, these little escapes from reality really help. This one in particular was poignant with your friend Finn overcoming cancer. Loved the kiwi as well, as I'm in NZ.

What a pity you are no longer with Norrona. You were literally their face. The greatest Scandinavian skier with the best Scandinavian (if not the world's) outdoor brand. Good luck with the crows though

Yeah. I just wonder why? I have no clue about the quality of Black Crows garments but Norrona is pretty much the best you can get

Really appreciate Finn's story. I've been in recovery for 3 years, official remission for just over a year. Most days it seems like I'll never quite recover. "I'll go ahead because I'm just gonna go slow anyways so you'll catch up" is pretty much my moto. Wishing Finn a smooth recovery.

Sorry to hear about Joonas hope his recovery is full and speedy! I shattered a bone day 2 of my season so it's a write-off, just gotta focus on post-op rehab and coming back stronger to make the most of next year.

Hiked my first line a week ago and it was so worth it, think i’m hooked on backcountry skiing thanks to you! Unfortunately my season is already done but next season will be awesome. Can’t wait for the gear video as well!

Man it's crushing to hear Joonas's injury, especially at the beginning of the season. I hope he recovers well, tearing an ACL as any person or athlete, is not easy to come back from and get to full strength again. But Im hoping with how well you bounced back from your Achilles injury, Joonas will recover just as well. His shots to start the season will be sorely missed. Thank you again for another amazing video Niko.

Excellent, heartfelt edit Niko! Seeing Finn overcome those serious health issues is a tear-jerker. Thanks for sharing! BTW, speaking of light- I skied some lines near Andalsnes last March and really struggled with skiing in the flat-light above tree line. Would get spatially disoriented. Goggles didn't help much. How do you do it??

Thanks! Well for this last part we used headlamps which helps a lot, and also the snow was really good so you can just kind of ski by feel. Because you know the ground will be fairly smooth

Great to see Finn back at it. Such a good dude, if you read this Finn I have faith you will be 100% again eventually. Never had cancer but I have had some bad injuries that put me on my ass. It's a crushing feeling for sure.

Another beautiful vid, but I'm amazed that Finn wears eyeglasses while touring! Especially on the uphill and digging pits, I'm impressed that he doesn't fog up his glasses! I started wearing contact lenses for skiing a few years ago specifically to avoid fogging, and especially now that I've started doing sidecountry I can't imagine using glasses again.

Yo! I have a really weak perscription. just slight astigmitism and a little near sighted, so if they fog up i can still see more than good enough to ski. Normally I will where sporty sunglasses if the weather is bad or if it is sunny, but i wear my normal glasses as they are clear when the weather is not to bad, during this polar night season with no sunlight. They usually dont fog until i get back into my house

I usually don't have problems with fogging, but yesterday it was warm and foggy and that got the glasses pretty hard. Colder and/or drier conditions, which is what most ppl ski in, are mostly fine

I know how freaking hard it is to get back into shape... but as you said: just take things easier and enjoy those even more. life is beautiful and avoiding death makes you see that even more. stay safe out there :)

Another banger! Keep it up! You doing a laidback vlog would be fun to watch. Not sure that you would be interested in making a video showing a typical day in your life, but I think it would be interesting/entertaining. Just thinking of the video of you dealing with your achilles injury and how enjoyable that was to watch (not the injury part obviously hahahaha) but just what you did day to day was cool!
