Dan, thank you for your review. You cannot go wrong with an ESEE knife. I currently do not have the JK3 although you have put it on the radar. I like the shape of the blade. I currently am using the RB3 although it has a scandi grind, I really like the handle ergos and it really bites into wood. I like that the ESEE knives are made in the USA. They are very tough and durable. Thank you and God bless.

Any hardware store worth it's salt will have a selection of split ring key chain rings, by using the size you prefer and using the dangler loop from any of your sheaths will make this into a dangler. Handy size knife!

Dan, how about a side-by-side comparison and review of the Esee RB-3 and give Esee JG-3?

That would be cool. Don't have an RB3 at present, and if gas prices keep going up, It may be quite awhile before I can budget another knife! But I would like to do the comparison.

Very nice knife. I like the Esee serie 'Camp Lore'. The thing I would change it's the handles (probably TKC have some more good looking ones :)) Comparing to Izula II ? Same sort of knife ?

A little larger than Izula blade. Much longer handle.

I wear a large, and they are not tight at all. I just picked up an Izula 2 last week and with the Knife Connection handles on it, I like it even better than the JG3. Of course I put a 90 degree spine on it too. I hope to review it in the near future. Both are great knives, so I'd look at both before you decide.

I’m bouncing between this and the esee 3, have several other esee and Becker knives. I’m looking for a edc compact fixed blade that’ll do well in the woods both natural and urban if you catch my meaning. Not going to be a primary defensive tool but I like a fixed blade backup. Any thoughts?

I had an Esee 3 a while back. Personally I like the JG3 a little better. Just feels better in my hand. Blade design makes it easier for bushcraft carving. Hope this helps.

Tried to cut my finger off with this blade… it’s my favorite knife I’d love to see one in stainless with G10 handles… would be my ultimate game knife
