1. Cash shop is indeed way over the top. 2. You have more than 5 skills. Using weapon swap you have 10 skills plus an ulit on each bar makes it 12. 3. It's a 10 year old game so naturally it's not going to look as good as something that came out recently, but what MMO does? 4. You are correct, atmosphere is subjective. 5. The overland content is pretty easy. If you want challenging content do vet dungeons and trials. 6. PvP is pretty bad. 7. The game is objectively not pay to win. You can buy convenience items like a trader you can spawn or xp buffs, but they are by no means required. You're also no competing with people outside of PvP and when you do you are placed in matchmaking with players whose level is the same as yours. You cannot purchase an edge. It is indeed cosmetic and convenience items only. 8. Your take on the community is that it's bad because they don't agree with you. I get you posted this as bait. You're a small time creator and you need those views, but I would suggest focusing on creating real, genuine, and meaningful content in the future. Rage baiting gets those views to spike, but you don't retain anyone. Good luck.

The fact that there's both console and PC+addon gameplay footage of different players within the video while never actually finding the 2nd skill bar pretty much tells that he didn't play the game at all. He also made a similar rant to Guild Wars 2 and then made a second video of getting banned from it. Which might explain why he didn't play ESO, as he goes by the gamer proverb "You can't ban me if I never play it!". He's basically your average Steam Discussions ultra-ego teen who you expect him to make a "DotA2 is Dead" thread daily while constantly denying its position at the Steam Stats.

So 6 months for a guarenteed Radiant Apex rewards isn't that bad if you commit to make ESO your MMO for years to come. If the maths are mathing it would cost £800 to guarantee a random Radiant Apex. So to earn a "£800+ item" by just playing the game is awesome. But I know your argument will be should you have to spend £800+ to guarantee a store item to begin with which is also fair. But yeah. Let's be honest. Eso is pretty much pay to win. Yeah you can play base game and get a LOT of stuff sure. But all the best meta sets and classes cost money. You either need to buy the dlc to get access to the dungeons or arenas, or pay for eso +. This goes for both PvE and PvP.

As someone spend time playing both ESO and Guild Wars and GW2 for several years... I think you never played non of these game anyway, so it is about not to take you seriously, ha. If you using this way to "attract" new viewers... how meekly you are. ESO hase vast shop, but brutal part of it are cosmetics. THe rest can be obtained via quests or free daily rewards. Great portion of DLC and chapters are free now for newcomers. :> You have more than five skills, and you can combine them whenever and however you wish. plus additional bar for them. Game was also released quite time ago, so the graphic is old, and still very much decent, against some other MMOS out there. And its definitely no pay to win. :'DD

It has 5 (12 actually, with your backbar and ultimates) because it's crossplay on consoles, which are limited to controller layouts. Honestly though? I play a lot of games, and for its genre, the combat style in this game is unmatched. You won't see that very much until you reach endgame, which does leave the vast majority of the game and its content to far more casual players, but it's a lot more fun once the game becomes challenging. There are definitely a lot of things that need updating/improving on it, but it's nowhere near as bad as you're making it out to be.

Guy played an MMO and complained it was an MMO. For real though, ESO is pretty much the same as any other MMORPG out there. If you never buy anything but the base game you can enjoy hundreds of hours or more. I bough the DLCs but found that I hadn't even started any of them yet after 50 hours doing side quests. I went and joined a pirate storyline and sailed around the map. Then left and became knight for the local lord or whatever, then got into a thing with some elves that sent me to other tree elves. Somehow I ended up getting my heart ripped out in the end and following a wizard into purple hell and it turns out I had only just started the main quest. There is SOOO much to do in it before getting to DLC stuff. I'd compare it to SWTOR, it has the same feel and vibe but I prefer ESO. 100gb is a lot though, if you're gonna play it on bad internet it takes some patience. EDIT: Bruh even said he didn't like Skyrim, OF COURSE YOU WON'T LIKE ESO IF YOU DIDN'T LIKE SKYRIM. It was the next ES game out AFTER Skyrim. Fuck Skyrim is in ESO as well. This is why KZbin needs to bring back the dislike button...

I wish there was a laugh react for YT videos like this. Been playing this game for almost 10 years and have invested so much money and its a W game. It is an MMO which should tell you that it is a grind and metas change. I have almost every trial trifecta and I raid daily with a streamer who is definitely not self centered and he takes time to teach his raiders. Met some of my best real life friends on this game and we have hung out in real life, gone to conventions together. I tried this game for about a hundred hours and it was just awful. It felt like I signed up for a grindy, monotonous part time side hustle. There is literally nothing appealing about this game at all. You can't even fly between zones. Instead they have "wayshrines" which are nothing more than teleporters. I eman it's probably the lamest thing I have seen in any video game since the 1990s. The cities were annoying af to navigate. It's hard to describe but nothing feels like "home" within the game. There is so much time spent just riding around, looking at uninspired geometry that blocks you in for half a mile, trust me it just sucks. To check your "mail" you have to drill down the menu tree like three levels. Every. Single. Time. How th did this function ever pass play testing? Login time was painfully slow and tedious. The crafting system is useless. By the time you can get to the point of crafting a level X gear, the game has pushed you to level X+5 if that makes any sense. Enchanting was a sustained buttload of pain. You basically have to commit yourself to heavy game play to ever get anywhere with enchanting, or improving, or whatever else, take your pick. /uninstall all.

I dislike ESO, but the information in this video is so incorrect it is laughable. I would like to so you solo vCR+3 by yourself, or even a vet dlc dungeon. Only have 5 skills? Did you not play it long enough to unlock your back bar, then formed an opinion based on that? Also, what kind of crappy system do you have to get that framerate. I run on ultra at a capped 99fps. The crownstore is not PTW. it is a complete rip off, yes, but there is nothing in there that will advance you in the game. ESO is a weird game. It's honestly the worst MMO game I've played. It shares the same pitfall I felt with SWTOR, playing with other people wasn't fun. Especially doing dungeons, as you end up in an unsocial group blitzing the whole dungeon before you have time to contribute or take part in the theme and story of the dungeon. Then the solo content was just generic filler content to help you level up, which would be OK if the gameplay was in any way fun or engaging, which the level-scaling annihilated what little I had. So I was constantly just wishing I was playing a different game. I only lasted 18 hours, I have no idea how other people enjoy it, but if you do I'm happy for you, I wish I enjoyed it too.

Developer did great work to build up ElderScrolls lore and world atmosphere of second era. I really respect developers at this point, but combat is extremely fossil. It's a fossil action game even in 2014, and it's totally outdated in 2024. Despite of excellent TES world design, it's a painfully nonsense action game. (T_T)

Are you experienced with mmorpgs at all? I'm confused if this is satire or not, but more skills on your skill bar doesn't equal better combat. Limitation and simplicity is the key to creativity. As for the graphics, on Ultra settings it looks pretty good compared to most mmorgps on the market today. Of course games like New World and BDO look better and have better animations, but ESO has really good use of lighting and atmosphere.

I really dont like ESO i installed,uninstalled,installed again trying to give it a chance i really hated the art deviation from skyrim i don't like having people constantly running around me while trying to soak up lore. The only thing its halfway good at is giving some lore i tried so hard to love this game but i can't. The pvp is for guilds only, trying to pvp without a massive group will not work, the guilds of grown men love chasing down solo players. It is a pay to win game as well most definitely, in pvp, the most powerful abilities/players have the latest dlc and pay to win skills.

Why the F need to change a weapon to use the other abilities. Imagine Final Fantasy XIV have how many , 15 classes ? With at least 20+ abbilities each. I play like 2 weeks, its not mmo, its single with mmo elements. And single is just clicking E key to make all. quests. You xant even see difficulty. The monsters you kill in 4 secs will be killed after 300lvls up the same time. Just theybare scaling. So you can kill some miniboss on 10 lvl and you can kill him on 300lvl the same way, yeeeeey

The Todd Howard simps are out in full force. "Cosmetics", does that include each and every dungeon after the base game? I bought the expansions so that my friend and I could do all the dungeons, we love running dungeons. Only to find out I had only purchased the story mode of the areas and each and every dungeon had an individual price tag attached to them... UNLESS you have a subscription. The wording was purposefully vague and made zero mention of the dungeons being sold separately. "you've got more than 5 skills, backbar blahblah" right up until you reach end game. Then you decide you want to be able to do end game content. At which point you archeology you up a ring that removes the ability to use the backbar but gives you every damage increasing buff in the game leading to most people using 1 bar and this absurd ring, regardless of role. Arcanist, excels at every role and especially pvp. The video games journalist of classes. There's many more things fundamentally wrong about the POS game but after finding out you had to subscribe to have inventory space worth mentioning, a gimmick they lied about causing too much lag to implement was implemented as soon as they saw FO76 lie about the same BS and then also implement it behind a paywall. If you like being fleeced by the very people you adore, why don't you just say that?

Bro you dont have the intelectual capacity to admire this game. The game has more than 300 skills and you can use 12 skills at a time and combine them however you want. Also.. you might want a better computer. It looks terrible. Playing ESO at 600x 900 is not the way Junior. Run it like me. With DOF. Raytracing.. reshade.. AO, 4k and like 40 mods. Game like this is hands down the best looking mmorpg right now.

The craft bag essential makes this game pay to play unfortunately. Even Rich himself said it was essentially not possible to play the game without the craft bag on his own live stream when asked about ESO+ membership
