About how many hours of running until replacement of these filters is needed? Also, how often should I run my heater during the summer so the fuel filter doesn’t get gummed up?

I don't know how this video has so few views/likes. I've serviced my own d2 heater multiple times and this time around I'm getting white smoke billowing. I'm going to re-check the things described here. Best info I've found! Thanks so much! Please make more!

@@jeremyhanna3852 have you replaced the fuel filter? Enough anti-gel additives in fuel I’d expect?

@@jeremyhanna3852 thanks for letting me know. I’m thinking of replacing mine if cleaning with acetone brings no effect.

My control unit is held down by three screws, not one. And the screws are five point screws. Also the igniter is not attached as a separate piece, it’s attached to a hub that goes to the wire harness. I managed to unscrew the igniter, but the wires kept twisting since I could not detach the igniter from the hub. I successfully replaced the atomizer screen and reassembled everything. Would be nice if an updated video was available for the newer Airtronic D2 S2.

Good video. I’m having a different problem. The control unit screen is lit but blank. Just started doing this. Any idea?

Where’s you source for the 12mm slotted socket?

The socket can be reused...at least mine is.

Sadly this video isn’t much help as I have a Generation 2 D2. It requires a TE-Connectivity type removal tool to extract the glow plug pins out of the connector.
