How are you going to trade Mikal Bridges? He is the perfect fit for any team. He was the best defender in college basketball and has a three point shot.
@logix670
@logix670 6 жыл бұрын
Cause Zhaire smith has one of the highest ceilings in the draft. He will be a great defender no matter what happens, he's already shown he can become a good shooter. So if he doesn't put it all together and become a star he'll be an EXTREMELY athletic 3 and D guy. Zhaire smith is easily the most athletic guy in the draft.
@theprince7245
@theprince7245 6 жыл бұрын
Logix Mikal Bridges has the potential Kawhi fucking Leonard or even Kris Middleton and has the reach, the hands and work ethic to be so. He is easily one of the best 3&d player in the draft. Even tho i like Zhaire, you just can't trade prospect like that.
@AusOpening
@AusOpening 6 жыл бұрын
Yeah a bit harsh on bridges but sometime u gotta do what’s best for the team, Bridges is 22 whose ceiling is lower than smith who is 19 a more athletic play as well, plus 76ers get the pick which they could trade that along with assets for a star player like kawhi
@logix670
@logix670 6 жыл бұрын
Eh he'll be good obviously but Zhaire Smith's potential is higher and most nba teams will agree with it. Plus they got another first round pick along with it. If Zhaire Smith pans out his athleticism, possible shooting, and defense will work out very good for the sixers plus having an extra first round pick in 3 years. It's a good trade.
@theprince7245
@theprince7245 6 жыл бұрын
Tony Phan why would you trade for a one year rental, he even said that he wants to play in LA. The fact that he wants to leave the Spurs who has the best coach in the NBA kinda shows how much he wants to play in LA.

I think the Suns did pretty well in this year’s draft. Not only did they get a great center and franchise player in Ayton, but they also got Mykal Bridges, a great 3 and D player who will most likely guard the opposing team’s best wing or guard. Those two with Jackson and Booker can be very dangerous in the future.

pvanganimare... I'm saying it right here.. SPURS not going to give LAKERS a super team. Better to trade him EAST or let him ride the pine until next year and get nothing because that would mean Lakers can't for that Superteam because Lebron won't go there without the Lakers being STACKED and the lakers can't afford THREE MAX players in Free Agency.
@LuisTrey
@LuisTrey 6 жыл бұрын
pvanganimare I really hope it doesn’t happen. Hopefully they don’t trade Kawhi, LeBron goes to Houston or somewhere else, and Paul George stays in OKC or goes somewhere else just to see the look on those clowns faces (Magic & Rob)! These draft picks aren’t even gonna contribute to the team at all, you can bet on that.
@Jim-Halp1234
@Jim-Halp1234 6 жыл бұрын
Tired of Fools way to look at that one sided lol. Leonard can just tell any team not named the Lakers “I will not resign” and that’s that. Secondly the lakers can very easily sign PG, Lebron and Leonard because Deng will be on a expiring contract that some teams will want and they would have room.

Before I make this comment.. I understand it's the magic. But if Bamba works out, the magic potentially could turn into a very good defensive team. Isaac and Bamba, build around those two. They'll be your defensive anchors (who can still develop into very good offensive players), and now they need to find smart offensive players. They have the assets to pull of a trade for a future high draft pick or a young offensive player.. so let's see what they do.
@xavierstamp8786

Mavs, Suns, Bulls and Denver won by a mile. Especially if Deandre Jordan goes to Dallas and the Suns can sign someone very valuable in the offseason and i’m telling y’all that back court of Dennis and Luka is gonna be incredible. I can already imagine the crazy lobs they will have on the fast break and half court sets. The Bulls are planning for next year. If they get a lottery pick they can fill that SF position with Zion, Reddish, Barrett etc. The bulls are on the rise.

No mistake for the top6 passing on Porter jr taking a top prospect without injury concerns, Bulls addressing the center position and passing on Porter after already having to worry about LaVine is absolutely reasonable, then it gets questionable at 8 and especially 9. Sixers got that awesome trade where I completely agree with Max but from spot 11 not taking Porter has to be considered a mistake, for Charlotte who's desperate for elite talent and especially for the Clippers having 2 picks. Denver smart enough not to settle for a safe role player but reaching for the stars.

Max is right Sixers struck gold with zhaire plus a 2021 unprotected first , pure gold, mikal is solid but zhaire has a way higher ceiling . That pick is now a valuable asset to either contribute towards a kawhi deal , or worst case scenario simply a pick to cash in on in the first draft where high schoolers may be allowed in.

Deathgun 2019 Zhaire Smith is arguably already as good if not a better defender than Bridges already. He's almost 3 years younger than Bridges, more athletic and actually has a nice jumpshot but he didn't rely on that in college plus that 2021 Unprotected 1st round pick from Miami...the 76ers definitely could afford to make that deal. Any team who isn't set to be a lottery team the next few years would've jumped at that deal also.

DeAngelo Kimble i would say Mikal Bridges is a better defender because of his reach and hands. But i can not now because him and Zhaire will be in NBA. But from college i saw him smother alot of people with his defense. So i will try to stay neutral until they play in the NBA.

Michael Porter is in the same situation that Donovan Mitchell was in. After dropping he now doesn't have as much pressure on him. But he's also on a team that he can have an impact on immediately. I think he can win rookie of the year, yes over my guy ayton

Jay talks about Smith like Mikal woukdent be guarding Tatum also 😂 But I do agree. The Suns could’ve had the chance to get Ayton and Porter Jr in the same draft ... huge missed opportunity. Denver will be sitting pretty from this

The King of New York if they try to throw the pick smith and Covington in a trade it would be worth it. Or if its to save the money from 10-16 and try to get Lebron and it also comes with a future first so I think we’ll end up winning this trade

Couldn't disagree more. Getting a future 1st that could turn out to be either a huge draft or a good trade asset while giving up close to nothing is a brilliant move. On the other hand why Suns couldn't wait to get rid off a pick for a player who isn't likely to have that much upside nor solves their lack of upside at point guard is just baffling to me. They're gonna miss this pick big time in the future when they wanna trade for a really good point guard 'cause show me one team winning a championship without one in today's NBA. To make matters worse: they waste it on a guy they know nothing but the scouting report, he hasn't even played a minute in the NBA. Disastrous trade, the fact that they look good due to Booker, Ayton and Josh Jackson doesn't change that McDonough fucked up big time here.
@bi3643

g9kyra Bridges is a good player he probably has the Lowest chance of busting out of anyone in the draft so it’s not like they traded the pick for someone who isn’t going to be good it’s just I don’t see them filling there needs with that pick seeing that bridges and Jackson play the same position and they could’ve used a point guard
@g9kyra
@g9kyra 6 жыл бұрын
I got nothing against Mikal Bridges - just against giving up future assets for a player like him when you can draft plenty of guys close to his talent at 16 anyway. Trading for Collin Sexton and I'd praise the Suns for addressing the position they need with a high energy guy that really fits next to Booker. Mikal Bridges makes no sense at all as a trade target compared to Sexton and definitely not compared to all the NBA players that will be available within the next years due to some kind of drama or teams struggling with the salary cap etc., all of which scenarios that the Suns can take advantage of - here they got taken advantage of. A lot, unless Bridges turns out to be PG13/Kawhi/Jimmy Butler which nobody expects, not even Suns fans. Did I mention they got TJ Warren and Josh Jackson? However you turn it, this trade makes no sense whatsoever for them

It's funny how people are skeptic towards Europeans just because of Darko. He even admitted that he played only for money. That's an hard exception. Players like Porzingis and Doncic and most of other European players are highly passionate ballers.

First off, to Max's point, Orlando was always gonna draft Young so I don't know why you had him in the 8-12 range. That was their pg they were going after hence why Atlanta did the trade as they were looking for a pg with Schroder gone. Also I don't see Trae or Luka being busts tbh. For instance, look at the Atlanta Hawks team. They don't have a lot of positions filled out as solid starters. Where did Trae come from? Oklahoma where he was the one man show. I wouldn't be surprised with that setup if he actually wins ROTY with points alone because of their being no one else taking points away from him and him lobbing his shots like he does. Luka went to possibly the best team he could have. He went to a team that uses multiple pg setups and a Coach that utilizes his skill sets very well with Rick Carlisle. He will be starting from day one and he will be given the opportunity to make passes to Barnes or DSJ and myriad of other players for lobs and assists or be a big time shooter as this team lacks a 20 plus point guy.
