Stevie and Craig are so right about the 5 best Scottish players of all time. If you were born after lets say 1985, you will have no clue at how good some of the Scottish players were. There were so many and there is no way you could pick the top 5 of all time. You'd be leaving out too many of them. For me, Kenny Dalglish, Denis Law and Jim Baxter would have to be on that list. That leaves only 2 more spots out of all those great players. Impossible.

Not only has Scottish football fallen but the scary Hungarian team in the 50's was the best in the world and should of won the world cup. Now Hungary is nowhere. Also Romania was great in the 80's, 90's with Steaua winning the champions league. Now they are pitiful. It's a shame.

Scotland has fallen off so much over the past 30-40 years. Scottish drinking culture, bad diets, an emphasis on passion over technical development, a small population, huge TV deals going down south to England, and virtually no first and second generation players of immigrant background from Black populations have all contributed to the country falling off.

What does a lack of black players have to do with anything? Back when Scotland used to produce great players, it had nothing to do with immigrants. And they've always had a small population. The drinking culture and bad diets always existed, even when Scotland were producing great players. Stevie is a prime example.
