Or the clip of him earlier in the season when he was 13 yards away from his career high for rushing yards in a game and Coach Sirianni comes over to him on the bench and asks him if he wants to go for it and says no, that he's good and he'd rather see the young guys eat (let the other RBs get some carries)? BTW, to all the NYG fans, this is what Barkley could have done for you if your organization bothered to build an OL for him. Instead you team mostly wasted the height of his prime years. I understand the team aspect of not playing him vs Giants, but I disagree with the decision coach made. Let him play 1 half, break the record (or not)against the team that refused to pay him his value. The O-Line would love to be a part of that record too.

I hate that some are diminishing the record with the game schedule, one day we may get a QB to throw for 60+ TDs if they continue to increase the pool of games. As it stands they want to get rid of preseason and have fans pay more for every game. Saquon and that O-Line have a right to break that record. If they do it in a quarter I would love to see the crow that GM has to eat.

People who say "they play more games now" forget that ED took 16 games to break OJ's record that was set in 14 games.

15 games but still each scenario needed an extra game. ED in 15 games 2007 yards with 353a Saquon in 16 games 2005 yards with 345a

This happens often. With Saquon's age and injury history, I don't see a reason to play at all, or maybe just a few snaps. Doing it in 17 games kinda cheapens the record as well. It's also a testament to the Eagles O-LIne which turned Saquon into possibly the greatest rushing season ever, but left Miles Sanders on the cusp of being out of the league without them. I'd probably just play one drive, get 22 yards, and get into the top 5. It'll take a full day to get to #1.
