It took the offense being 1st in points per game, 1st in yards per game, 1st in points per play, 1st in yards per play, 2nd in 3d%, 2nd in 4th%, and 2nd in red zone. Patrick had to lead the league in passing yards, lead the league in completions of 20+ yards, lead the league in completions of 40+ yards, lead the league in touchdowns, break the all time total yardage record, put up 31 points in 24 minutes in the super bowl, and win league MVP and SB MVP. The media and fans of other teams act like there is some massive problem with the Chiefs now. They had been doing what NE did to them in 2018 pretty much all season. Hold the ball, run the ball more than Andy ever has in his career, play good defense, and make plays when it's needed. Be a well rounded team and not show the whole playbook when you're trying to win a third consecutive SB. Margin of victory means zilch. Chiefs are a well rounded team and yesterday proved, when the defense is struggling, the offense is able to pick them up and win the game. I don't see being a more balanced team as a bad thing. The new LT should be starting this week or next. Pacheco is coming back. Charles O is coming back. Hollywood is coming back. Watch out league is all I'm saying.

Yes, last year at least. The chiefs were 7-2 going into the bye week last year, winning most of their games by only one score. Kansas City's offense scored 3 tds and 3 fgs on 8 drives yesterday and they're still missing their top 2 wide receivers and starting running back. Patrick had his third 3-td game of the season and his 2nd without a turnover. All three have come in November. They also have their DE2 coming back from injury soon and signed DJ Humpries at LT to finish the season. It's about peaking at the right time and the rest of the league should be worried about the fact that the Chiefs went 10-1 *before* playing their best football

I'm not worried at all. It's the NFL people. It's unpredictable, and not everyone can be perfect every year. People expect a lions team from the chiefs where they should blow out teams. It's rare to do that every year and winning back to back superbowls. Chiefs are so good, regardless of injuries, they still win. Last year, it wasn't the injuries but rather drop passes, and they figured it out. Look how many teams like 49ers and eagles lost some guys early in the season and they struggled. Chiefs get guys injured and they push forward. That's all leadership and a elite organization.

Nobody acknowledges that every team gets up for the chiefs because of their history and treats that game like their superbowl. The chiefs take everyone’s best shot every weekend and have lost one game. I think we need to reevaluate the way we view this team. They have shown the ability to flip the switch in the middle of games and play perfect football for stretches. I think everyone needs to take a deep breath or after the season when mahomes beats everyone’s favorite story and gets another ring we will all feel silly for doubting them again.

They’re a playoff team, the regular season is just the planning phase. People like Reid, Spags, Mahomes, Kelce, Jones and a few others have a completely different gear that kicks in during the playoffs. @ Mahomes, Kelce and Jone’s performance last year would say otherwise. I’ll agree it’s not nearly as achievable or obvious in football but it’s there. You have one drive to win the Super Bowl, right now in this era, who do you want running that offense? Montana/Rice had it, Aikman/Irvin, Brady/Gronk and now Mahomes/Kelce.(Plus their respective coaches). I think KC has a real shot at it as long as the Mahomes/Kelce/Jones trinity is there.

I've been saying it all year long and the media is just coming around on it - every now and then a team gets extremely lucky and they get off to a 10+ win start because they are getting teams early on who don't have an identity or have severe injuries. The Pats did the same thing a few years before Brady left, but Brady made it very clear, even at like 11-0 that they were not the team they and the media thought they were. Obviously, the Pats that year and the Chiefs this year were/are good teams, but I can tell you right now, the Lions could beat the Chiefs by 4 possessions right now without a doubt in my mind.
