Dr Bergman I am so thankful to have found this video!!!! I am a 33 year old mom to four children, five years ago I had a serious injury on a neck traction machine. My co, c1 and c2 became badly twisted to the left and a complete reverse curve of my neck. It has affected my whole spine. I went to many chiropractors, five rounds of prolotherapy (80 injectoons each time) and weekly appointments to a craniosacral therapist. I can get some relief but my neck always twist back. Any information you could give me would be a blessing.

Oh my I have had so many surgeries and had 3 fusions on my neck. First one in 2013 C5-6, then 2021 C6-7, then 8 months ago C3-C5- and now my neck hurts so bad and down my whole back and shoulders and middle of back. But says its muscles. But it is stiff and hurts!! And my neck in one spot has no curve been like that! 😢

The shoulder exercise fixed my pain and limited shoulder movement in a few weeks. I’ve been doing push ups my whole life and I couldn’t even do one due to the pain when I tried. Two or three weeks of doing the arm swing every night and I was back to doing 50 push ups. Do all the exercises since it’s all related.

I’m so grateful for your video. I have an unstable SI, L4-L5 with a forward head posture and dowager’s hump that I suspect is the cause of the right side of my face going numb along with the left ear. I suspect that because changing the position of my neck/posture (as much as I can for now) will decrease the numbness but doesn’t eliminate it completely. The shifting back is now effecting sciatica, periformis , my heels (achilles) and plantar in my feet. I was trying to recover from a skating fall ACL/meniscus repair surgery when the PT put me on a squat machine with weights knowing I had an unstable lumbar and since then it’s been a hot mess or I should say hotter mess and then said nothing more he can do until I address the lower back. I want an active life and not end up in a wheelchair, but feel I have to figure it out myself if I can avoid spinal fusion or stop wasting time and do a surgery that terrifies me.

@johnbchiro Dr Bergman. My pelvic,hip flexors and low back muscles is so weak/ect it really caused me to be leaning forward causing issues related. I knew it was coming from my pelvic not staying aligned/ect. I have been to several area chiropractors and did every posture type exercise imaginable to try and get relief,all was temporary help if at all. Connecting the dots,that exercise along with being mindful how to walk properly. I noticed I wasnt walking liked you say we should be walking. My whole body seemed to say to me: "thank you you big dummy"... 😂

13:21 I could be wrong but why do I feel like the modern day workplace lifestyle is built to make people sick I mean look at how many functions are affected by the way the spine is aligned or misaligned. I suspect that people can have issues like gerd acid reflux from this and they may not even know it they would be prescribed so many harmful stuff like acid reflux medicines proton pump inhibitors etc and this may give short term relief but in the end may cause more issues some people And imagine if there issues was correctable by just correcting the spine or neck wow that would be pretty nice Same with BP or even heart rate issues n The more I look at this channel the more I feel that our modern lifestyle desk jobs 9 to 5 processed foods and overall lifestyle is being designed from the get go to make people sick and in the day and age of AI I suspect it would get even worse I mean think about it we know phones are bad too much screentime is not good imagine wearing a headset which btw is happening today

Yes that's what ive concluded from researching digestive solutions! Poor posture causes dysfunction all over the body, including digestive issues like acid reflux. Constantly being hunched limits the area in chest, compressing organs together. When you open up the area through exercise and stretches, most of these problems vanish. I had a stomachache that persisted for over a month; it was relieved with 30 mins of doing Essentrics focusing mostly on upper body. Most people who have similar issues likely work at a desk all day (I do).

Do you get spinal listings off of the X-rays? 3. Is your goal to restore normal function or only symptom relief? 4. Do you take post-x-rays to document the structural changes made? 5. Are you familiar with repairing disc injuries? (this requires a high level of skill) 6. Do you work with post-spinal surgery patients? (this requires a high level of skill) 7. The camera didn't get a complete view of Dr Bergman putting his foot on the block and bending the knee. Is the foot completely on the top of the block? And the block is on the high side and horizontal to the foot?

Before you do anything I would suggest to get a MRI first. Some things cannot be changed and then it is better to leave them alone and let the body do it’s healing.

You don't really need the neck brace. You can roll up a towel, wrap it around the back of your neck, and pull down while lifting your head up.
