I think you're the type of skilled RC Pilot that could fly a broomstick and make it look easy. I mean that as a compliment. I'd like to see a newbe RC pilot fly the plane (without any stabilization).

if it helps i flew this plane with no experience at all aside from a week on the fms simulator. doing nothing but some basic laps and some really tense touch and goes..but i landed it just fine. shes a very easy going forgiving plane but with plenty of room in its ability to do alot more fun stuff...that i am along ways from exploring.

Recommend FHSS protocol (same as Futaba), thats what you need which Radiolink is, do not use Flysky garbage DSM2/X protocol, worst ever.

Nothing wrong with the Trainstar, but I wouldn't recommend the Radiolink transmitter - for that kind of money you could have a Frsky QX7 and a few receivers - you could almost get an X9D+. Better still, join a club and ask what the people who are going to be buddy boxing you recommend - chances are there'll be someone in the club selling one cheap that they have moved on from - there are DX6i's going round our club that have been owned by half a dozen people
@reefer29175 жыл бұрын
Warning, Warning Will Robinson, Dx6i's danger danger! there's a good reason those spectrum monsters are being sold!! they are kings of the dreaded Brown out! that's why everyone is selling them!! even the cheapest of the chinese Tx's are much better!!! buy, flysky, or Frsky both are better than any spectrum! IF YOUR A LEARNER DO NOT BUY A SPECTRUM!

I clicked the like button after that take off. A+ Can you explain what an "a certificate" is? I'm in Australia, went and bought an rc, and learning by myself (after some simulator time).
@EssentialRC4 жыл бұрын
"A" Certificate in UK is the first level of proficiency in flying RC aircraft. Joining a local Model Flying Club is the best, cheapest and most efficient way to learn because you will learn quickly and safely from experts. It's not all about flying. A significant part is safety. You can't get away from the fact that these 'toys' can cause harm and damage to others and property. "A" certificate teaches how to operate and fly any RC aircraft with good awareness of how to do it safely. Hope that helps. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
@TheObsessedGardener4 жыл бұрын
@@EssentialRC Thanks Dom. We have no flying proficiency certification here in Australia as far as I know. CASA is requiring registration as of next year (delayed due to the pandemic) which is predominantly a safety thing. Even without the certificate, I'm well aware of the safety behind using these powerful pieces of equipment. I think it should go without saying that above all else, safety comes first. I fly in large open, spaces well away from houses, roads and outside the 15km distance away from an airport. Thanks for the info!

like he said...it's for when you're seriously wanting to learn how to fly... Back in the days. (20 years ago) it used to cost over $500..just to get started. with inflation..it's roughly $700-$800 today.... and that's with a bare too the bone TX 4 channel. ( $175) it's a big model...( .32) size....it' looks like it's designed after a KADET. which was a popular and one of the best trainer... It has a big motor.... You can get HBJ 3s 30c 2200 mah for $15 or 2 for $25...or whatever brand, I know for a fact HBJ has good c ratings and has wazoo of gusto. zop power a fine. i used them in my Monster trucks. The lipo balance charger....recommend getting one with a power convertor.. $25-$30. a fly sky 6 channel only cost $45....extra TX are only $7 You could get a smaller model $50 ( kit)2212 1000kv or whatever KV are only $5.....by the time you get servo motor speed control..it'll be rounghly the same price...or around $100 but Bigger is better...they have more wing area..plus wight helps it cuts through wind better.....I used to fly .60 size....becuase I dont get perfect weather or NO wind....I can fly in 10-15 wind..easy You can learn how to hover on that model if you wanted to. it;s basically a clipped wing Kadet..you can do whatever pattern aerobatics with it... This model is ( PNP) ON SALE for $100...it's cheap You'll also NEED a ESC PROGRAMMING CARD ($10) You can always BUILD one out of dollar tree....but building isnt always fun...I Have wazzoo of brushless motors, EDF( variuous size) props...various size.....esc 30A 40A... various Lipo...2s 1000-1600.....3s 1000 mah-3600mah All for under $500.... I can build 20 models if I want...but it's mostly 2212 or 2215 smaller PARK FLYERS...so i dont have to drive to the flying site. Just one of my 1/8-1/7 buggie monster truck cost $500.lmao I have over 20-ea The little baby baby trainer... under 30" wing they're cool for PARKS...but they'll get toss around in 5 mph wind.... GLUE NOT included....no matter what do :-P

It would have been a bit better if you showed us the interior? where's the hatch? where's the battery go? does the wing have to come off to change the battery? yes, we know it fly's but a bit more on specifics would be good to, you called it a foamy, but I thought the fuse was plastic? so you confused me, (it's not hard to do) is it foam or is the fuse plastic??? 👎
@EssentialRC5 жыл бұрын
Correct. Fuselage is plastic, everything else is foam. Battery hatch is underneath and held shut with a secure catch so wings do not need to come off. Hope that helps. Have a lovely lovely day. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
