They’re probably my favorite thing to do! Even if I don’t buy anything, it’s just so fun seeing the inside of people’s homes. Gift wrap and ribbon secondhand is the way to go!!

It’s really the coolest thing! Seeing how people made their homes and what they wanted to be surrounded by. Especially older homes too, it’s like a time capsule. Have you been to an estate sale before?

@@chessiedomrongchai i am in vienna, austria. we don't have many estate sales (i think) unless it is from a more stately home or the person was a celebrity and then the stuff is beautiful but more expensive than i would like. for "lesser" homes, stuff gets sold on online marketplaces or cleared out altogether by small enterprises that then sell on fleamarkets and such. however, the fun of seeing all the things in the original flat or house is not there and that is the most fun part!

I only go to estate sales an hour or two before they close. First of all, I don’t know what I’m missing and what sold and secondly they practically give everything away for a dollar or two because they’re gonna have to haul it away if it doesn’t go.

I’ve only done that a handful of times! I basically stalk the photos from the sale all week so I do know what I’m missing🥲 I do like going back to a good sale toward the end to get better deals though. What’s the best deal you’ve gotten?

Buying vintage fur is the way to go. Rare to find a cream/white rabbit coat in such good condition. Worth the $$$.

I was thinking it might be! Once I found a white fur coat for $40 but it was destroyed. I feel so lucky to have found this one!
