The NASB New Inductive Study Bible is my absolute favorite Bible. It does not tell me what to believe like so many Bibles, but actually teaches me how to study the Bible by the format. I have old NASB leather version which I believe is Out of Print. I have also purchased up a bunch of leather in good used condition for when I wear mine out, (which is where I currently am but don't want to let it go). I utilize this Bible every single day. It is the best bible out there. This method of study has changed my life!!! My New Inductive Study Bible is a record of my life with the Lord and my study paths. The margins are fully of word definitions from blueletterbible and other reputable sources. The format is incomparable. The wide margins afford helpful notes. Also the format of the text is very easy on the eyes, whereas the double column is so prohibitive for reading for me.

I love my inductive study Bibles. I have had training in the Precept Ministry’s inductive study approach and use this Bible for such studies. What many don’t realize is that it is a great verse by verse wide margin single column option. They used to have genuine leather editions, but no longer unfortunately. The Bible itself does not reflect distinct dispensational theology as there are no commentary notes expressing that.

This Bible has some good features. One thing that really makes it different is that it has no headings or subheadings. This can be great if you are studying a chapter and coming up with your own theme name for it; however, having no headings makes it difficult to flip through and find something quickly.

I love this bible. Verse by verse. Large print. Esv. Cross references. The format is easy to read it’s beautifully done. Now to save money for it. I agree this bible needs more exposure. I don’t think o I’m going to go all out with the inductive method like you I don’t like clutter. Anyway thank you for a great review. You are my hcsb review guy.

Love everything about this Bible. There are not any subheadings. I know it’s inductive, but it does help tremendously. I’m using a hardcover 2007 single column reference edition. Got it at Ollies for $8.00. I’m a NKJV gal, but SO many women’s Bible studies, are using the ESV. Using The Bible Recap. Chronologically reading the Bible in one year. So… 10 pt. Font… Yes. And, verse by verse! Yes! Thx Tim. ( Also got the NKJV black leather touch, Chronological Bible, which I really am loving. I’m OK with a few of the articles coming from a more historical view point. And thx for the heads up on that.👍). Sorry so long, but you are my #1 go to Bible reviewer. Sorry Tim 2, and Tim 3. Lol. I’ve known Tim #1 longer. ( your all great 🤗).

Tim, Thanks for this review, which prompted me to consider a format that I can’t recall ever using. A look at Amazon suggests that the New Inductive Bible is published in ESV and NASB translations. Customer reviews seem to be generally satisfactory, with some reservations about thinness of paper and not-so-side margins, with some nostalgia for the older editions. Personally, I am loathe to write in a Bible : I tend to use a notebook or loose paper, for later sorting and filing. I can see that this Bible will suit a person who wishes to have a portable Bible, in which some notes might be made. But, all things considered, as I am constantly urging, portable and desk/study edition should be differentiated : we need a portable and smaller edition, of course; but we need a modern desk/study edition - A4 size, possibly interleaved, but preferably loose leaf so that notes decent notes may be written/updated/ revised and so that maps,charts, etc. can be added. Personal Bibles of the past were small; but there were also large study and family Bibles - we moderns seem to be denying ourselves something that our forefathers valued.

I was hoping was going to be like the Inductive edition journaling new testament. But, Crossway seems bent on publishing all the things, so I am still hopeful.

Excellent review of this bible Tim! I bought the NASB edition back in 2016 or so and I also thought what a great format, as it had all the features I wanted, verse by verse, single column, good margin space etc. But the major drawback was the very thin paper with lots of ghosting (for being a reader or main bible). I thought what a pity! So I think that's what has prohibited many from recommending it as you mentioned (besides inductive study). Otherwise you can be sure many would have had this rebound, haha! So I'm very surprised to see this now has better, more opaque paper which is exactly what was needed! I did use mine for inductive study with the symbols system etc and it was very eye opening & forces you to slow down & glean much more from passages than you'd think. However, of course, it may not be for everyone. It does get quite busy on the page as you mentioned. Those study helps included are incredible, I’d forgotten how many are supplied! Read to harvest does an incredible job of explaining this. All of us have biases or blind spots, but Ready to Harvest does a better job than anyone else I know of being fair and objective in describing different denominations!

I have the ESV Study Bible by Crossway. It has three dates on it. Copyright ESV Study Bible 2008; The Holy Bible ESV 2001; and ESV Text Edition 2016. It does not say Inductive. What is the difference?

You have a corrupt bible. Gods word is not bound by a copywrite that needs to be changed every several years. Study the comparisons and do your own research befrore you go posting things that may decieve people. Good morning brother Tim. I have this Bible in the NASB. I have only worked my way through one book. Like you, I also found The inductive style of marking my Bible a little overwhelming. It did inspire me to develop my own color coding system which I use in all my Bible's now. What I love about this Bible. Cross reference system. Each chapter has space for chapter theme. End of each book, book at a Glance work space. All helps, charts, almost 100 page concordance. What needs improvement in my humble opinion. Line matching. For long study time I find ghosting to be Irritating. Could use wider margins on both sides. It would be easier to use if it wasn't as thick, but was a bit wider and longer. Those are some of my pros and cons. Because of the cons I have not used this Bible beyond my 1st adventure studying the book of Jude. (started small to see how I liked this Bible).
