It'd be cool to see a "pro" version with an m.2 PCIe slot, up to 8GB possibly 16GB RAM along with the ability to plug in the Raspberry Pi High Quality camera module, or go with a design that utilizes the CM4 module with the aforementioned ports.

@@luigiprovencher I'm just sad they removed the composite video/audio out. Using one of these on an old Commodore monitor to emulate a C64 or Amiga would be really cool. But I'm not the target market for this product, so I'll just have to keep using my other Pis for stuff like that.
@The_Wandering_Nerd4 жыл бұрын
@Critter Hunter they took the 3.5mm audio/video jack out of the Pi 400. I guess you could always use an HDMI to composite adapter. I didn't even realize those were available. I thought they would be hugely expensive devices like the Framemeister for some reason. Thanks for sharing.

@dv75334 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but so far no Raspberry Pi has had one, a shortcoming for sure, but an expected one, analog audio out not being available is less expected. Nothing that can't be fixed with a USB audio adapter thought, but I would have built one in together with a USB 2.0 hub for more ports. Production cost would have gone up with a few dollars/Euro's/Pounds at most.

Kinda glad I waited on my purchase of a Raspberry Pi 4. I would've been happy with it, but this throwback to the Amiga A1200 and the C64 with the decent//good cooling plus the built-in power "button" really adds an extra layer of coolness for me. I think they knocked it out of the park. This is effectively a 1-purchase solution which makes it much more accessible to everyone... not that the RP4 isn't accessible, but this one is more so.
