Well if the company is so damn sure on the chemistry invention and if successful they may demerge this into a seperate listed company like KPIT Energy in the near future with a impressive contribution towards the universe of energy. They are 3 in 1 rare combination of software engineering, energy innovation and national treasure of Bharat. I see this as a global company

EVs is only 1 of the use case. There is huge market for Stationary Grid scale Energy Storage to store Renewable energy. There energy density of battery doesn't matter only cost matter.

Not much hope for sodium if you have to charge it a lot. In India there are few charging stations that work, The added cost of charging at a 3rd party station eliminates the ev operating benefit, so all you get is more headaches, higher service charges, more time sitting waiting to finish charging. Better than limno2 is needed due to excessive weight of current vehicles

Average people don't drive 100km+ every day, right? So for most of the cases we can charge it home overnight.

@@Saurabh.P range anxiety is real. Most people stress if they have limited range. So far most ebikes sold in india have over 100km range. People are willing to spend a little more on this. What if there is a power cut or you forget to charge. Then you have to take the bus and be late for work. Sodium is not that much cheaper

@@barryobrien1890 I am using EV since more than 4 years and hardly drove it more than 50km. Same is the case with most of my knowns who are using EVs.

@@Saurabh.P Me too. I have ola S1 pro. I charge it 2 times per week and use it daily. Glad you like it. I am happy i purchased the ​S1 pro with 181km range as it always has enough charge. You may be happy with less than 100km range, but most customers in India demand over 100km range. Ather had to upgrade the 450x to go over 100km as it's sales were struggling. I agree that most people don't use 100 km per day, but they want to know that if they change job, or the battery gets weak with age, or a family member borrows the bike during the day, or they take a ride at lunch, that they have enough to get home always. Also for those that have to use the hyperchargers because they don't have a charge point at home a bigger battery means less trips to charge. I don't think it matters what people need, it's what they think they need. Today most people buy more expensive crossover cars but few will ever go off road in their life
