This is what the world needs to understand and support the Ethiopian government in its attempt to build dams to use for irrigation and power generation not to depend on rain for farming. Unfortunately, countries like Egypt turn blind eye and blocking Ethiopia from using its resources backed by the United States and World Bank. History teaches us lesson. Climate change is real. Depending on sporadic rain for farming has been becoming very challenging.

Imagine this: A 6 or 7-year-old little girl watching a program similar to this in the mid to late 70s and weeping from the core of her identity, one that she didn't even know that she had. Imagine this: Her mother comes in and angrily turns off the tv, telling the little girl not to watch such things and to stop crying. Imagine this: That mother believing, without any doubt, that there was something wrong with that little girl and told her, for the rest of her life, "I should have gotten you help when you were young." Iminge this: That little girl all grow'd up at 57 years old, and that she has just now discovered that there was NEVER anything wrong with her. That what she was experiencing back then was empathy and wanting to make the world a better place. To stop hurt and pain. For human rights to exists. We have an inherent capacity for empathy, an innate restlessness for equality, and for others to be treated fairly, for others to have human rights. We have that Inside of us. Naturally. Some would even say it's God-given and I wouldn't disagree. These should never be extinguished simply because others are uncomfortable with them. Remember. Please remember that.
