I DID IT!! After several months of catching up, I've finally gotten to the latest episode. Woo. Actually, though, after binging all these episodes I finally get why etho is considered such a legend. He has a very different approach to his LP than most other people I've seen (or that I take when playing) but it's really awesome seeing his creativity shine. Especially when taking what seems like something that should be impossible to do in MC and forcing through a way of actually pulling it off (with various degrees of success). Anyway, just want to say thanks for all the entertainment so far and keep up the great work.

I really liked how with the lyrics you lined it up with what you were doing. "Through mountains, can't keep us from the sea" and goes through a tunnel in a mountain to the ocean, "shadows in the trees" while walking through the trees, many, many more examples. theres a reason hes pretty much the only youtuber people still watch for minecraft. i watch a few others but he has consistently been making incredible minecraft videos since very early on. so many other people have dropped MC or dont make MC videos like they used to be. etho's have as much heart and spirit as the first ones he made. it shows how much having a passion for a game can make vidro quality go up.

The first 4 minutes of this video (i.e. the music and mini-tour) felt like a "this-is-the-end-of-this-series" type video, and I was so immersed that I had forgotten that Etho was just showcasing shaders. I was very emotional... and it's hard to admit but almost in tears. This is pretty epic My only issue with shaders is that underground bases make it feel like you are staring at a foggy streetlight after just waking up all the time. I think you can tweak the effects though for the blur on the lighting to make the underground tolerable. Same for the texture packs, I believe. That you can kind of frankenstein them together by removing features you don't like then layering it... soo much work for perfection though

I dislike a lot of the orange tinge that many shaders packs have so I had to find one with minimal change to the colour of light and without the blurs and haziness and then edit out some of the undesirable effects

The last 2 months I've binged this world get built across every single episode. From the episodes on his first world when I was 8-9 to the videos I started being able to remember watching when he uploaded them in 2013-2015. By this point I was deep into my freshman year in highschool and stopped watching Etho. But I caught this one. And I remember the nostalgia it gave me at 14 seeing the world with all the shaders. But I wasn't prepared for how I feel now at 22 years old. This world raised me for so many years and I'm glad that I'm finally catching up. Only 112 episodes to go.

MagicShroom its not that cpu intensive since its optimized quite well. It only really gets laggy if theres alot going on (redstone, mass farms, that sort of thing)

Dipper Pines Did you see inside the mancave? Most of Etho's builds are underground and imagine everything being that dark all the time. The 3rd shader pack ( Mr something) is the lesser of three evils in my opinion.

Side Note: My pack contains a lot of Bdubs textures and variants because he did do that damn good! I would have to say that after Vanilla textures, Bdubs comes 2nd place. I just love the original feel of the game though. DIE HARD MINECRAFT FAN! lol

Foresthillwolf yes, shaders are built into OptiFine 1.8+. You no longer need forge or the shader's mod and it's fully compatible with 1.10.2.
