Duuuuude those CK and Facom acetate handles are my dream screwdrivers. I'd love to have like three sets of those since they look so nice. Something about that shade of transparent orange remind me of like, amber or a cool crystal in a museum.

Facom’s handle is isoryl, not cellulose-acetate. ISORYL modified PPE/PPO is a water insoluble, odorless, amorphous blend of polyphenylene ether (PPE) and polystyrene.

Nice to know about Elora and Stubai. Elora is completely new to me, never heard of it before. And Stubai I've known just a few days ago when I was searching for high quality tin snips, didn't know they make screwdrivers. The most famous brands here is Gedore, Wiha and Wera. PB Swiss is also known as a top-tier premium brand.

A lot of tool companies in Germany are very specialised. Like Weidmüller, Bernstein, Löwe, Alarm, Flume, Schlieper and so on... And I'm not fond of PB Swiss. Yeah, I own a few tools but they seem to be just expensive because they're made in Switzerland and that's all. Regards, Etna.

I gifted a Wiha set based on how you said they would fit any hand and the recipient thought the same. So if anyone is thinking about gifting a set they are a great choice.

Thank you for the video, I really enjoy these. This is the first time I've seen the Elora, Stubai or C.K brands. From what I saw online, the Hazet Hexanamic drivers are made in Slovenia just like the 810 series drivers you mentioned at 9:50. I can only assume they are made in the same Oplast factory where the Kraftgrip / Rolgear mechanism drivers are produced. Does anybody know? I think it's funny that those Kraftgrip drivers are rebranded as not only the Hazet 810R, but the Gedore SilentGear 2169-012, Inbus Flow 73424, and Stier 51656886 as well.

No, I thank you for making it clear that these things aren't made here anymore. It is difficult to get an overview of the origin nowadays. You buy stuff once and like it. Then you buy it again and it looks the same but feels suddenly different as they are changing the factory. Thanks for the great comment! Regards, Etna.

The Stahlwille and I think also the Holex screwdrivers, are made by Witte in Hagen, Germany. Nice video!

That might be. Thanks for the info! I often have the suspicion that there is something like a Remscheid connection when identical niche tools are with many labels on the market. Regards, Etna.

Wow, Great Review! Very informational. IMHO i think that Every Pure German screwdriver is good, it just thing of taste which one to choose. Have you tried Japan Screwdrivers? I have Vessel Wood handled non-slip screwdrivers, and when i compared them to Wiha wooden ones, i think that Japan tool was the winner. (I wasn't happy with this result).

Thank you so much! The problem I have with Japanese tools is that they are addictive. Knives, rulers, powertools... I have Vessel and Sunflag on my wishlist as I want to have some JIS drivers for some bits of gear I own. Philips doesn't quite fit correctly. To me anything with a Made in W.-Germany stamp on it is just great. Even recent tools that look old school seem to be made cheaper even if the tooling of the company didn't change. That's a decline in quality I don't expect. Normally quality should go upwards as technology progresses... Should... Regards, Etna.

Sad to hear the Heyco's aren't that great. I love the green handles and have been meaning to pickup that set sometime. I might anyway. The green really is lovely!

Yeah, let me frame that a little bit. I was not too disappointed about that set. You should get that if you can get it for a fair price. Something under 40 bucks and you should be fine, I think. They are decent and they are beautiful, indeed. But looking at that fake W.-Germany imprint made me a bit angry about it, as they don't feel similar to my Witte Quadro I've shown at the end. Despite the fact you can also get them as Witte Quadro E nowadays with the same green handle. It's just not the same. Just a marketing stunt. To me that is a bit worrysome as it washes down what things actually mean. Regards, Etna.

Are the tips different in the different hazet screwdriver series? I have the 163-266 & 163-265. I believe both are made in Slovenia. Looking at the Hexanamic sets, they too appear to be made in Slovenia. Either way, I do need some SAE nut drivers. I’ll have to see if anyone in Germany makes a reasonably priced set (for someone in the US).
@Etna.
@Etna. Жыл бұрын
Yeah, the tips seem to be different. And thanks for posting the origin of the Hazet screwdrivers! I get lost nowadays where things come from. It was so easy once... I was name-dropping some cool brands in this video. I hope you'll find some reasonably priced nut drivers in your area. Regards, Etna.

@htr5372PB Swiss may not be the toughest, but they are meticulously machined. I have the ratcheting screwdriver and the only complaint that I have is the high backdrag.
