After 5 months and hundreds of hours working on my store in which I sold 29 items about to about 10 customers. 5 star and days away from being a star seller. I go to pay my bill last night as soon as it was paid. A big red banner came up. You're suspended indefinitely. I have no clue why.All I sell is craft supplies so people can make their crafts. They said I'm high risk. I've never allowed to shop or sell on Etsy. Ever again and I've been shopping on Etsy since it started. Then they send me a message saying "We can't tell you why but you're high risk" hundreds of hours and it happened to be my birthday that they did this on. What a birthday present. I'm so sad all those hours gone, I will spend every last minute of every last day I have doing everything to convince people to not shop or sell on this sight until the website is no more, hundreds of hours gone and all the can say is ur high risk and not tell you why. This really feels absurd. I opened a shop, worked my butt off on my ONE listing (digital resource book) and was suspended. Problem is 1. I don't know the EXACT reason it was suspended (email from etsy: (If your Etsy account is limited, it may be permanently suspended for violating Etsy’s Terms of Use. This may include but isn’t limited to: Items listed for sale don’t meet our handmade, vintage, or craft supply policies Items violate Etsy’s Prohibited Items Policy Shop violates Etsy's Intellectual Property Policy The account owner’s information is inconsistent, incorrect, or closely associated with an account previously removed from Etsy) But I also CAN'T ACCESS MY ACCOUNT, so how can I try to figure out the issue, respond to it by rectifying it, when I can't access my account? So filing an appeal will do me no good because there is nothing I can do anyway. Kinda ridiculous!

The same happened to me. I created my store, and put the name, logo, and stuff. I had nothing listed since I was still exploring the platform and creating what I wanted to sell, but, because of work, I had to postpone it for around a month. My surprise was to find my store closed when accessing it. No notification email whatsoever. I filed an appeal asking why, and what did I do wrong and explaining the situation and they answered that my store "does not qualify for reinstatement" and "We’re unable to reconsider this decision and can no longer respond to further messages about your account status. We appreciate the time you’ve invested on Etsy and wish you success in your future endeavors." I haven't even started and I am banned. Seeing the amount of videos on KZbin about this subject, I really hope that another marketplace takes its place. They play with their customers playing God with the living of many people. Fortunately it happened to me before even starting and not with a lot of time invested in their platform.

My shop blew up going from 0-3 orders to 20+ orders a day. Shortly after that have been suspended (about 3 days ago,), no email nothing. Managed to fill out the unban form and my account was reinstated within hours. I was told I was banned in error. Now (yeasterday) this happened again, no email nothing, account suspended can't even log in. I try to go through same process, but it leads me already submitted and compleated unban form. I can't make a new one, every time I try to contact etsy I am told they won't discuss anything with me until I submit an unban request. I am in a dead end loop. What do I do? Edit: I also have over 1k euro in funds that were not withdrawn, what happens to them? Today despite my shop not existing and not even being searchable I got an email informing me about new order I've got. What the F is happening?

same thing happened to me, made my shop early 2024 selling my own custom design graphic tees and was suspended after getting 10+ orders a day, fulfilled every single one of them with tracking. got payment reserve so i had to wait for my funds which was fine then got suspended, almost most of the orders i fulfilled were auto refunded by etsy and case closed so i lost about £1000 profit... made an appeal and got told i was banned by etsy from a mistake, and had my shop up again, i put my shop in holiday mode to try and sort out my listings as they dont tell you why you got suspended... sorted my listings out and even contacted customer support to review my store before i took off holiday mode as i didnt want to get false banned again. i was told my shop was in good standing and my listings were good and not violating any etsy policies, and i didnt want to lose out on money like i did my first suspension.. however the DAY LATER i got suspended again and was told my store was not going to be unsuspended. I GIVE UP ON ETSY FUCK YOU FOR ROBBING ME

It is crazy this. Spend forever and a day putting a shop up (2 weeks) and they suspend it without an email. Appreciate you trying to explain what without an email or with an email means but still don't make much sense tbh! Have emailed support and still within the first 1 - 2 days so will see what they say....

The email they sent me had the oh so helpful "your violations may include but are not limited to:" and listed basically all possible reasons any shop might ever get suspended. Not handmade, prohibited items policy, IP policy, or maybe some of my info is wrong or maybe there's outstanding cases or too many bad reviews or maybe associated with a previously banned account or may have an overdue bill or may not have met a regulation. AFAIK after scouring everything none of these are the case (I sell prints of my original art, no fan art, just original fine art, no cases, no bad reviews, no past due orders, etc) but my appeal was denied almost immediately. Still no word why. Apparently this happens a lot and 2-6 weeks later I may or may not randomly be unbanned without notice. This would be 95% less frustrating if they would point to a specific thing I'm supposed to have done. Happy to make any changes if I just knew what needed to be changed.

So my etsy store was shut down because i put goddess on tiles and mugs so that is apparently making a hate speach and violating religions. When i asked what was wrong they said its 'dirty' i removed all ' dirty ' listings. Now ive had my shop shut down completely. So confused 😢

Have you seen all the none handmade items for sale on Etsy now? Or the electronic and electrical goods, How are they able to sell these under the handmade section? I had a Etsy shop for 3 years , five star rating from day one,thousands of sales, I designed wedding gifts and had a production partner help me make them, but a couple of weeks ago my shop close, they said I violated hand made, I appealed and sent proof of my designs and I heard nothing, they are still holding all my money and apparently hold on to it for 6 months !

Esty is for vintage items too. The cutoff is 20 years. It's 2024 so yeah... electronics from the 90s and 2000s are allowed.

So here’s the thing. I got a permanent suspension. They closed my shop and I had no access to log into it to correct anything. All I could do was send an appeal. They shut me down after 8 months no explanation. Just an auto generated email jours after the suspension. After I sent my appeal stating I didn’t know why I was suspended but please let me know so I can fix it. They sent me the same automated message some other ppl received just that I violated terms but no idea what and why and they wished me luck and peace out ✌️ I’m devastated I never had any open cases no emails no notifications.

Hello. In order not to be suspended, I have 2 questions. We need to enter our credit card information for expenses in the store information. Can this card be virtual card? I shop from ETSY with the same card, and I have never had a problem. Or do we have to enter my original card for sure? yo got the same thing. 1st shop ever selling digital ai, ran $2 ads 3days and 4th day got same msg saying temp suspended check email for reason. I checked my email as well as SPAM folder but no etsy email except for a CONGRATULATIONS ON OPEN YOUR SHOP! hahaha. filed an appeal cuz i cant find a direct support email and today is the 2nd day of waiting for response of what exactly I did wrong. bank was verified and no copyright cuz i just sell seamless AI designs for tumblers ahaha.

Thank you very much for this video (it's updated so it's very good). My store was closed for selling copyrighted items. I received the email 20 minutes later, and I file an appeal, 24 hours later I received an email where that said '' We have an open case with a number (appeal case #) please reply with an explanation. I explained the problem and I did not receive any more emails. 9 days have passed since then. I'm not sure if I should insist and write all over the place or sit and wait. What do you think? Thanks

I'm not sure if you watched the entire video but several time I mention copyright will screw you so hard. What was the CR infringement for? Was it obvious and a lot of listings? @@ShootingStarSVG I had 2 stores, One has been in use for more than 1 year and did not have anything illegal, I have 4.8 stars, and the whole store is in order. The second one was only 2 months old and it did contain an Anime (which was copyrighted) Both were closed because they were under my name. I'm still within the 2 weeks that they announce but honestly, I don't know if I have a chance. They haven't said anything, I don't know if they are evaluating the situation or they simply won't listen to me and it will remain closed forever. I'll cry. I worked hard and finally made sales. Then they suspended me. I design all my products. I filled an appeal, no news yet…been 2 days. The first customet asked for refund and Etsy took money from my card and refund it. But their POD will still get sent out, basically that person got it for free. But that is small matter, I dont know why I got suspended. I told them I can’t verify my bank yet as the small deposit have not ahow up yet. It is permanent suspension . Is driving me nuts, I am having anexity attack and when I called Etsy they just told me they dont handle suspension…..what should I do??

I just opened my brand new shop today. I only uploaded 1 item that was a checklist I created. It wasn't opened for maybe two hours and and they said I was temporarily suspended. I never received an email. I contacted Etsy Support so hopefully it won't take too long.
