Every time I tried to explain a meta deck or why dragoon was amazing he’d argue and say I’m wrong (he was one of *those* dark magician players who thought they were the best and had the “secret tech” no one knew but refused to even experiment with dragoon)

I won't bridge, but I do riffle them exactly like a poker dealer. It's funny, 'cause it stresses the sleeves less than the traditional in-hand shuffling Yu-Gi-Oh players do as that method is utterly more forceful, but I think players think the opposite - a proper riffle is actually a gentle procedure, they will just fall into place. Been riffling my decks for months, and the cards/sleeves are still in terrific shape. I imagine you're especially talking about the bridge though (which would be bad), but it's still relatable.
