Seeing Ao break down into Ghibli-esque tears was so surreal. Knowing the history of Eureka Seven and how Renton was at a young age, it's cute to see how Ao takes on his father's traits without ever really having known him firsthand besides meeting briefly.

@Zenress Actually you're mostly correct. But you're wrong about ONE thing. The Original was Not a coming of age story. Yes, Renton was naive and didn't know the ways of the world as like Ao, he was young as his son. However, it was never a coming of age story as you said. He may have matured somewhat, but it was never about that. As it's said in the details as well the comments of the Original Eureka Seven series, It was "The Greatest Love Story ever Animated". And it is. Eureka Seven focused on the blooming attraction between the dumb dumb human Renton and the stoic emotionless Coralian Eureka. Through trials and tribulations they found the love that they had for each other, even though it led to the events of the Limit of Questions to happen, causing the rift which caused the Scub Corals to leave the Universe for another, which caused the events that led to AO. Eureka Seven AO is the result of the consequences their love had wrought. A human falling for a Coralian. Decisions that had consequences in of itself. Still, Eureka Seven holds a dear place in my heart. On the list of one of my favorites. Though, I didn't like Renton then for being an IDIOT, and I still don't like him now. Loool

Finally someone who appreciates even a little of this series qwq I know there's flaws in AO, but I still love it, more than the 1st season, in fact. Renton and Eureka's story is interesting to watch, and they're both lovable characters. But Ao deserves some respect too since he's actually a sweet realistic cinnamon roll who just wants to know who his parents are. Poor boy had to live in a timeline so far away from his parents, and he had to fix the problems his parents created, making him an unnecessary existence... Anyway, sorry for the sudden rants x') I'm just happy to find someone enjoys the show too

I felt so sad for him and then saw this episode, it was like a miracle. i think every ao Fan felt so happy and emotional for him. i cried happy tears for him when he started crying when he could feel the earth and re unite with Fleur and Elena and Everyone watching Nirvash Flying away.

No it shouldn’t have. This was a shoehorned in attempt at making what was meant to be an understandable somber ending into a hamfisted happy one. And it shows. This ending doesn’t make much sense. Especially compared to the original ending from AO ep 24. They only made this because fans complained that AO didn’t end on a happy note like the original E7 did.

@@Kraigon42 solo te dire que al inicio de la persecucion 1000 años atras el coral que trajo la muerte a la hermana de ao ya no se teletransporto a su mundo y sigue en el mundo de ao 1000 años en el futuro bueno tampoco explica la existencia y su periodo de vida del los coral pero si estuvo 1000 años antes eso deveria resolver el problema en las lineas de tiempo de todos ya que e coral que inicio la busqueda de un lugar seguro ya no sentia que deveria tranportarse de nuevo ya que la amenaza habia desaparecido en esa lineade tiempo y por consecuencia, no hay coral en el futuro ya que no se superponen ya que solo existe ese coral y nada mas. como la causa de la muerte de la hermana de ao y el viaje de eureka, bueno para resumirlo ao toma el papel de su madre y el coral al final de la serie es el inicio de todo, cuando su madre y su padre se despiden de el fue lo que lo inicio todo, por eso decian que solo necesitaba una oportunidad mas y su existencia no se vera afectada por el coral. el coral solo existira en el mundo de ao y no en el mundo, de eureka y para que todo pasara desde el inicio a al b, todo deve suceder de nuevo del mismo modo ya que existe un punto de partida y un final para todo por lo tanto ao no existe en el mundo de su madre pero su hermana existe en el mundo de ao y el ao del futuro deveria existir como punto de partida del ao original, ycomo vergas entiendo eso, facil mi amigo multiversos.

This bought an amazing closure to the series. I am a HUGE fan of Eureka 7, watched it way back in 2005/2006ish when it aired on Animax in my country. I was super happy when I found out about the sequel. Sadly, I was heavily disappointed with the ending. Years later I found this and this is how the series should have ended originally. I'm glad this is canon.

I felt so sad for Ao at the end of the series, when they showed that no one was gonna remember him. and then they made this. I Cried happy tears for Ao when he cried as he could feel the earth and everything and his hardships had finally ended and he could reunite with fleur and elena. (and then there's the whole time travel thing which gets really confusing...)

Eureka seveN AO's 26 episode run was the 2nd season to the original show, Funimation doesn't even format it properly, it considers PFoR as part of the first season, when it's not, it has nothing to do with it, Idiot people not doing their job, yet again, oh, and the "The End" they gave the final episode of the show, meant nothing apparently when you take into account that they said Renton and Eureka's story is told and done with. but yet they make "New Order" and then PFoR (alternate universe that involves them getting to the main show's universe) and then AO, the direct sequel to the original show. now he have Hi-Evolution, the first film was clearly a cash grab since they just reused most of the old footage from episodes 1-26, and 15 minutes of original footage, I no longer consider myself a "Fan" of this series because of the poor decision making at Bones

no matter how many times i watch this episode, it always seems to hit me in the feels... if you think about it, this episode and astral ocean in general really did what the first season never fully did; explain what the scubs were and why they did what they did and how they came to be. alot of people are commenting that this was a "fix" to the series because the original ending sucked soo bad, but i would like to believe that this was the ending all along, but they never got around to putting it into the original series episode lineup. why i can't say for sure but it was possibly because they were intentionally waiting on the release of the arcade game to put the final content in.

The 13 minute, 40 second scene in this video is asked in Japanese as "A, kankōdesuka?. = あ!、観光ですか?" So it's "Are you korean?." Is a mistranslation. The correct translation is "Ah! is it sightseeing?" I think the reason for the mistranslation is that the pronunciations of "Kankō" and "Kankoku" are similar. However, as you can see, "Kankō = sightseeing" and "Kankoku = korean" have completely different meanings.
