British officers deployed to Germany have told Sky News they have witnessed drug-taking and known hooligans among the supporters following the Three Lions ahead of their match with Serbia.

Cheers! I was sorry to see Scotland lose the other night, in the opener. I have always supported ALL of our nations (even Ireland because of when Jackie Charlton was manager). I agree. Impossible to predict when football has a massive element of luck. One chance that goes wide on another day could have went in. Any team can score so any close matched team can go to either team depending on who has a better finish or header that day.

There are old agreements dating back to the 80's for coordinated policing, around the world, to combat hooliganism. Largely because British Police were at the forefront back then and eurooean police were far less effective at policing football. We had to teach them.

@@killerrabitofcaerbannog it's not really an official governmental agreement. Global policing is a law into themselves, pun intended, beyond Europol and Interpol. They have global conferences of their own and make their own agreements which evolve constantly. More of a hive mind thing.. It's only in recent years we've seen the global symbols in the "blue line" badges. I probably should have made that more clear. My bad. I've spent 30 years watching how policing has evolved because I lost trust after the big scandals in the 80s.
