Euro NCAP Crash & Safety Tests of Mercedes-Benz T-Class 2022 - Update

Update 2023: The Mercedes-EQ EQT is a variant of the T-Class. Some additional tests and checks have been done to ensure that the rating of the T-Class, tested in 2022, applies to the electric variant.
Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
▶ a frontal impact test, 50% of the width of the car is striking an oncoming deformable barrier, also travelling at 50 km/h
▶ a frontal impact test, the car impacts a rigid full width barrier
▶ a side impact test, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door
▶ a pole test, the tested car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole .
A series of pedestrian tests are conducted with different impactors, adult and child head form, lower and upper leg form and whiplash tests are performed on a sled as well as AEB pedestrian and cyclist tests.
Active safety is tested based on the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking car-to-car scenarios, occupant status monitoring (including seatbelt reminders), lane support and speed assistance technologies.

Side pole is pretty bad, in terms of safety cage. Lots of intrusion. But maybe Mercedes get super beefy airbag, so damage data isnt high. Also first MPDB isnt ideal as well. A pillar got a significant deform.

Was tested in 2017 if I’m not mistaken. Got up to 4 🌟 with the safety spec. New models have standard driver attention assist and lane keeping assist (not available before), but don’t expect higher scores.

​@@michelebicc6983It received 3 stars in 2016, but it is important how many stars the vehicle receives with standard equipment. What's not important is the score it gets with the security package, so if Tipo cross is tested, I'm sure the results will be different.

@@MateiM. Mercedes and Renault had an alliance so that Mercedes can use Renaults platform for a new car. It’s not like they are the same car. Nissan has the same model as the kangoo because it’s owned by Renault. Those are too different reasons. Dacia doesn’t even have a car in that segment no more. Mercedes is Renault also sounds totally weird. It’s an alliance. They don’t own each other. Also the t-class is different from the kangoo
