Thank you so much for making this tutorial. Here in the UK we have a saying "Robins Appear when loved ones are near" I have made one of these for a friend who lost her father last year and it is coming up to the anniversary for his passing. I know she is going to love the little Robin I made in memory of him.

Thank you so so much for this tutorial! I made this little robin for my dad’s birthday since robins are special to us. I didn’t have the exact same colours, so I ended up using three colours and making the red part of the robin a little bit longer. I had a lot of fun making it and I love the end result! I’m a beginner and this was my first time changing colours in a project, but it was still easy to follow! So thank you again! ❤❤ Just a little heads up for other people starting this tutorial: I did get a little confused on round 10 and ended up frogging a bit. In round 10 she’s crocheting in light brown and there’s 12 sc. In the video she counts 8-9-12! (happens to the best of us lol) And she ends up changing it to 13 sc. But it’s actually 11 sc! So I followed the written pattern there: Rnd 10: Sc 3, sc 1 changing to white, sc 8, sc 1 changing to grey, sc 6, sc 1 changing to light brown, sc 11, sc 1 changing to grey, sc 4 (36).

I got confused too and after several attempts nearly gave up but then found written pattern...much easier to follow... love my Robin x

Thank you, Stella. You are one of my favorite crochet pattern designers. You make things realistic and as an adamant bird lover, I appreciate that. And you help us with the difficult parts. I'm so grateful to you. I so wish after many years of crocheting I was able to design patterns. I'd love to put allmmy favorite birds I a tree. Of course, they'd alll have to be miniature size. This is my frustration. Being ADHD as an adult, I love moving from project to project. I see many birds I lobe, like Peregine Falcons, Fishing Eagles with their fluffy nestling, different songbirds, etc. They are all different w/different wings, body shape, tails, eyes, crowns, etc. I can only hope if I crochet enough other people patterns, one day I will learn how to twist, bend increase ad decrease I right areas to enable me to create patterns rather than wait on someone else to print a pattern o what I want. Im so grateful, but I dont have the money to buy a bunch of patterns. If you evervwanted to give tips on body parts, or write a book that would sell, (there still are none as of 9/7/2023), just explains the physics of the how to once a person has an idea, a book like that would sell like of the shelves. I'd be the first to buy it cause you are such a great teacher. Thanks for all your hard work!

Such a sweet and real life little bird! So much different than our larger American Robins. I made it with orange yarn then searched for a pic online and was happy that my bird looked just like the picture I found. Enjoyed making it, love the way you attached the tail, so thank you so much for the pattern!

Me and my mom love watching the birds at our bird feeder. We both love watching the chickadees and dark-eyed juncos hopping around the branches of our tree, so 4 months ago I crocheted one of each bird as a Christmas present for her using this tutorial! I hid the wrapped presents in the branches of the Christmas tree as a subtle hint to what was in there. She absolutely loved them and insisted that I should make a nest for them and a month or so later I did! Now they have a happy family with two eggs, a beautiful leaf and flower covered nest, and their love for each other. All of it was a challenge to make but so fun and rewarding when you get to see the finished pieces all put together Thank you so much, Stella, for making such quality patterns for free! Next im going to use your cat pattern to make my own kitties :3c And once I'm done with that I'm going to make your unicorn pattern because I looove the movie The Last Unicorn and of course I need my own plush unicorn!

round 9 for the wings is confusing.. you say to single crochet 1, skip 1, single crochet last 2 then chain and turn, but the directions in text say "sk 1, sc 2, ch 1, turn" so idk if i follow your spoken directions or the directions in text... cuz they say something completely different...
