One never knows what's round the corner. At one time it looked as though Selby might dominate the World's. Trump's got one and he'll be trying to break the Crucible curse. But COVID could throw up a surprise. A shame Ronnie has lost motivation and is part time. When he was with Reardon, he became the player he was destined to be and was really focussed and motivated. He needs someone to fire him up again for maybe one last World title.

Its so easy to say that and assume guys will just overtake but it is not that easy. Things change and there are so many variables to continued success and dominance, some partly in your control, others not at all. Look at Tiger Woods. This is a video showing the 2014 UK Championship final. It would've helped to put the year this was relevant in the title of this video. Judd has since won a World Snooker Championship and plays at a more consistent level than in this 6 year out of date video. Judd has since won the career Triple Crown and is the youngest player ever to reach 700 centuries in tournament play. He's not the same player now as he was 6 years ago. He's the current world number 1 as of June 2020 and defending World Champion, too. He has a long way to go to ever catch up to Ronnie's career achievements and records, but if he stays at his current level of play for the duration of his career, he'll finish up as one of the all time greats, no doubt. Right up there with O'Sullivan, Hendry, Higgins and Davis.

You have to be joking! No 1 yes O'Sullivan. Hendry, Davis Higgins John, Alex, Trump/White and Selby best tactical player, at his best Hendry still dominated the 90's . O'Sullivan was untouchable at his best would leave the other players standing in "Awe " but Hendry no doubt. The most Dominant of his era! One visit snooker is unparalleled out of nothing. Since his work with Steve Peter, apart from when he was untouchable, he has been untouchable in many ways but not unbeatable. He has however by his own admittance learned how to accept losing frames and matches, which is really important as a player, and as a player of his calibre. To claim he ain't bothered about titles and records..... of course he is, of course it matters, there wouldn't be any point in putting hard practice in day after day
