i like the uk's staging because it makes it stand out i feel like without this the performance wouldve got forgotten plus i dont think as many people are going to be put off by this as people think

Your comments make me think of a 2021 scenario all over again. Switzerland and France being first and second with the jury, and then comes Italy and takes the trophy from them after the televote. That would be insane 😂

Except in 2021 France and Switzerland split the Francophile ballad vote and siphoned off enough votes from Barbra for Maneskin to win. This year Slimane is the only French ballad, most probably the only male ballad and definitely the most heartfelt ballad in the final…so great opportunity to win. In a year with many high-octane and attention grabbing songs people may default to a pure and simple love song.

I see it for France and Switzerland, but for Italy this year she is good but not as striking as Maneskin. Angelina will win only if she receives decent jury votes

Italy and Sweden are my favourites here, they look ready for the live shows. France is also well executed, it will probably be quite impressive for the casual viewers. The second half draw is an added bonus.

Ireland and the UK have the best staging hands down. No one can disagree with that. whether you like it or not is a different story but they stand out the most and everyone is talking about them this year which is only a good thing.

I don’t think this UK staging will turning the jury’s, not dramatically anyway. This upside down section is going to be a small part of the whole performance. I really don’t think it’s going to be as crude as people are making out once you see the whole thing.

Ronela lied in 2022 as she often does, achille lauro had no issues regarding not being family friendly in the same edition as ronela, she was a diva and didn't want the initial rehearsal photos out it's that's simple

Yes, the French singer can actually sing - the song is SO beautiful and emotional and it stands out compared to the more "noisy" song - though I love the entries from Croatia and Switzerland - I hope France wins. I

I think France has a nice staging and the French singer has truly fantastic vocals, but honestly I find very unfair their idea to insert an A Cappella section into their song! They had the right to do it, of course, but they have clearly copied that idea from Italy and with such great vocals as their perfomer can provide they could go for many other options to increase the impact of the performance without doubling such a peculiar passage from la Noia and affecting the uniqueness of both songs! I thoroughly dislike them for that choice, when they could have gone in so many other directions with such a singer, not copying anyone else! And I just don’t see such a classic, traditional (I won’t say a little boring)male ballad winning the televote better than La Noia! And for now I don’t get Winning Vibe from French song…. But we will see! Anyway thank you for your appreciation for Italy and Angelina: she is truly an amazing artist and such a sweet humble person snd she deserves to win TOTALly!!😃😘

Honestly, I don’t think it’s a copy : last November , in a TV show (star academy), the sing teacher told Slimane that he had such a real good belting technique that he could sing without a microphone on the set. He also worked in December/January with Lara Fabian who was known for doing a cappella part when she sang « je suis malade » during her tours. For me, it’s more an idea that came alive after this réflexions than a copy of Angelina in February, San Remo is quite unknown in France.

I know that Sanremo is pretty much ignored by French people, but don’t forget they had months since the Official Italian entry release to watch her performance or her official video here on you tube. They know everything about the A Cappella passage, they know it was part of the live performance and I can guess their logic: it works out very nicely in La noia, let ‘s do it with Sulimane!( hope I didn’t butchered his name here) Of course he has a great voice and he can do it! But the A Cappella section was Angelina’s signature touch in the song and it has been not a nice move to take this distinct touch away from her! Of course La Noia and Angelina’s charisma crashes Mon Amour anyway, in my opinion….but why should anyone want to steal ideas from others and do not want to go for his own unique thing!!! He could have taken his ten foots away from the michrophone with an instrumental base, and it would have been still an amazing touch that nobody else had displayed! It could have been his own signature thing! Instead France has gone for the over the top, loud and pretentious choice, because maybe they think themselves to be better than anyone else ! Sorry but I disagree: they are not the best….I suggest to all the other countries to dress in total white, bend the knee at the beginning of the song, lots and lots of smoke and to sing at one point ten steps far from the mic! I am pretty positive that French supporters wouldn’t have liked it, if this was the case!!!

Matt, you will be surprised knowing how many non-conservative and not old fans dislike some of the performances this year. Few more lines have been crossed this year. And many million people will see all this. I don't like it as I wasn't a fan of what Ronela or Chanel show few years back. And even My Słowianie was far too suggestive at parts. In short, fans are already divided. The contest won't get better reputation among the locals who watch it from time to time too. Many already say "it's circus and degeneration" etc.

This really annoys me in this new Eurovision path. Because I don’t like what the UK is presenting, (actually, not the UK, Olly, that made his participation about him, UK is much more than a soft porn short movie), than I AM the old fashioned and conservative! Even Eurovision I can’t watch anymore without being labelled conservative, old fashioned, transphobic, homophobic, racist, and everything else. It’s getting really annoying.

It’s giving me “desperate for attention “ and is just very cheep and unnecessary for the show in my opinion.I am much more fan of how for example Italy, France, Portugal, Ukraine, Switzerland and some others are artistic and creative not to mention those ethnic stagings like for example Armenia and Greece are giving rather than all these dance breaks and “trying to shock to get attention” entries are.
