Yeah this was perfect for me too Matthew - test drove it and thought it was great for the money, but like Jim says you just got it in time at the "advertised" price - I've been going back and forth with the broker for about 2 weeks now and they've found me one with a sky pack (+£35 on the monthlies) or ones with the very pretty copper or silver paint jobs (+50 to the monthlies) - and they just take me beyond what I want to spend frustratingly!! Arrrg!

Nice one. I am extremely surprised that Ioniq 6's tend to fly under peoples radars. It is an extremely beautiful car and all bells and whistles. Not sure if I would fully own it as I am not sure if the resale value would be worth it. But Ioniq 5s tends to be more desirable.

Thanks, the Leaf is good value, but chademo, the Mazda has a very poor range, the ID3 and Seat look good, for me I would go for the Polestar. None of the others attract me.

We have a MX 30. Got it ex demo a year ago before I leased an Ariya (I agree with Jim in that they're cracking cars) The MX30 is a brilliant 2nd car, so nice to drive and on the odd occasion you need to go a fair distance - just DC it and you get 80% in no time. You imo must have a home charger as otherwise I get the range thing would irritate. Mazda do really great interiors and you feel you're driving something very premium over similar cars like C3 and 2008. At the price Jim has found, I'd still get one. Just a shame when that time comes, I'll probably find it tricky to sell as sadly the general public are so range focused. Part of me applauds Mazda's take on the 'small battery is better' on this size of car. Because nobody has followed suit though, makes me wonder how long it'll be with us for. Just a lovely car to drive about.

I’m very tempted by the Leaf but keep hearing ‘old technology’. I’m aware of the shorter range but what other things should I be aware of? They’re obviously cheap for a reason?

It’s got Chademo for fast charging which is not available publicly as much as type 2. If you can charge from home and have a wall box then it shouldn’t affect you.

The old tech is why they are silly cheap. I bought a cable that solves the Chademo problem for my old style Leaf. I’m tempted to get one of these now as in two years the tech will have moved on even more. Then get something amazing with the savings.

Question: you have a specific high spec new out model you want valued at approximately £50k, you’ve decided on pcp. Do you just go with the dealers pcp deal or do you go to a broker?

100% go to a broker if you want to finance it but don’t discount leasing it instead.

Can I ask a question please ? Once your deal ends say after 24 months paid.depostit of 12 months upfront deal done. when you hand back the car and take a second lease do you have to pay 12 months upfront again on second car ?

You have to pay whatever upfront you choose (1,3,6,9,12 months)

Hi Mark, I did a couple of videos about it at the time. Most online sellers are allowed, most car dealerships aren’t. Car dealers were taking the p1ss with their commissions and the FCA decided to pull the product for a couple of months rather than put a commission cap on the greedy dealers. FCA are hapless.

Why would you need to extend the warranty on a lease car, surely the lease company is responsible for any breakdown repairs?

If you lease a car with a 3 year warranty for 4 years you're leasing a car without warranty for a year of it - that means it's on you.
