This is the version she intended to be on the album. Her record label wanted every song on the track to be similar to bring me to life with the male rapping/whatever. She vehemently refused and in the end they settled on doing one song like that. I think this version is much better but that's just my opinion.

I understand why most people don't like the album version because of the male vocals. I love this version, I think it's incredible. This one feels strange and you can feel that something important is missing. It's sad that they went against Amy's wishes since she's the author but they definitely improved this song. Although I like Lithium, Missing, Whisper, Last breath, I must dreaming, and My immortal, I was kinda disappointed that other songs were a lot different than Bring me to the life. My favorite genre is NU metal so that might be the reason. Either way, it's great having female singers in metal bands.
