Love this Arkansas talent. Amy Lee co wrote this with Ben Moody. ( guitar and vocals) He said it’s about a spirit staying with you and not leaving. It won’t leave you alone. He dedicated this song to his Grandfather who has passed He’s a great song writer. His Mom and Dad own a modeling agency in Little Rock. He and Any have been friends forever. His mom told me about them first moving to LA to record this album. Amy does a great duet with Seether singing Broken. They dated for awhile. The song is incredible. His vocals are gruff and hers are angelic. Glad to see you back. ❤️

I believe Amy said in Rolling Stones magazine that it was started over an end of a friendship--Ben helped her with the lyrics. Amy had a 3 year old sister that had died earlier on. I'm sure writng it together, Amy had much of her loss of her sister in mind (the lyrics support that) and ben's loss of grandfather could also cover alot of song ( and in video, Ben looked to heaven alot). Bottom line, it's a loss of someone who left a life behind, so still there, but Amy and Ben are alone still. and the emotions of losing a 3 year old sister who you wiped all the tears and fears away--I will go with that emotional aspect just for the song.

This is one of Amy lee’s more sadder songs. It’s about her friend who committed successful suicide. The song is her way of expressing the darkness she had to go through to reach the other side of the good there is in the world. Please do not go straight into the black parade by my chemical romance after this song as that’s a pretty sad despite its upbeat melody. Save it for later. Evanescence if you truly listen has a more darker tone in songs. I believe wake me up by evanescence is more your speed. Rouge no Dengon or message in rouge by yumi Matsutoya aka Yumi Aria is a fun little jaunt through the past with shades of the big band era and the jazz age always fun to listen to.
