It's quite obvious the appointment of Mike Pence should make Donald easier to digest, at least among evangelicals who were quite opposed to him. I'm paraphrasing here, so don't jump me for not literally quoting the verse. Jesus said, "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's, and render unto God that which is God's". I think that it's the best way of defining the separation of church & state that there is. Yet these evangelical morons are demanding that we have a "State Religion", a demand that violates the first amendment of the U.S. Constitution, an amendment that guaranteed the freedom to practice your own religion, but these Evangelist preachers don't want ANY other religion allowed beyond the racist, hate-mongering version that they preach. I'm an agnostic, I've been one since I was 10 years old & my mom allowed me to make my own choice whether to continue going to church or not, and she then sat me down to explain just what Agnosticism was. It's time that we stop allowing these people to insert themselves as a force into politics, and if they continue to do so, they have their tax exempt status annulled, and allow the IRS to fully audit them to finally allow their followers to see just how much they've been both financially & spiritually manipulated by these Christian con men.

They mention Jimmy Carter as their first evangelical candidate. However, in 2000 he left the Southern Baptist Church because he no longer identified with the goals and attitudes of that convention. In fact, even while he was in office, he refused to bow to the wishes of evangelicals in regards to segregation (evangelicals didn't want their schools desegregated - which in many cases meant busing in minority students). Carter took a liberal view on many issues. By the end of his term, evangelicals had withdrawn their support of Carter because he no longer was "one of them" and was considered too liberal.

I am a Christian. I believe in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. I also believe that this country was founded on religious freedom. If somebody wants to be in atheist then so be it but it is my personal opinion that they are in for a big surprise when they enter the afterlife. For preachers like this, I hate to tell you but I will, Jesus is the final judge and not a person who simply wants to line his pockets with his parishioners money while using God and Jesus as a front. In my opinion, that is blasphemy of the worst sort. I'm not judging this man because that is up to Jesus and not up to myself or any other person on this planet.

Absolutely! An also to learn about Jehovah God (the sovereign of the universe). Jehovah's Witnesses do this every week. NO politics EVER at our Christian meetings. We study the Bible, learn how to share in the ministry, be effective teachers, and live as Christians. Our purpose is to do Jehovah's will and follow Jesus's life as best as we can as imperfect people as 1 Peter 2:21 states: "Christ . . . [left] you a model for you to follow his steps closely." We live by the Bible's principles and practice genuine Christianity.
