This musical is one of the only attempts to try to flesh of Margaret into a person rather than just a crazy nutjob. It points out how she may have been completely insane, but she genuinely had good intentions and truly loved her daughter.

ALL of the songs sung by Carrie and her Mother are amazingly BEAUTIFUL. Unfortunately, most of the other songs in the show are not. The songs sung by her classmates at school are mostly forgettable mid-80s style pop songs. Some of them are catchy, some of them are just OK ...and some of them are AWFUL. The script and its structure are vague and confusing. Carrie's powers never explained at all. In order to truely revive "CARRIE", at least 1/3 of it needs to be rewritten...
