"I'M doing 14 hours of intermittent fasting. Is it okay to have black coffee during that time?"
@EvenSoItIsWell3 ай бұрын
@@jyotsnasnair1165 excellent question! I am sitting here drinking my black coffee at the moment. Yes! Black coffee is fine. Maney resources say less than 30 calories is fine. I drink my coffee with a touch of maple syrup everyday. Some say that by adding the syrup that I am doing a ‘dirty fast’ but I a, ok with that. 😉

I liked this format. It was kind of like a well managed AMA session. But your deeper dives videos are very good also. Its always good to have a change up capability. Ever thought of doing a "live" ?

Hi, Im so happy I found your site! You are so helpful and positive! I have a question , I seem to have a issue on having trigeminal neuralgia.. I follow a mostly vegan diet, I run ,lift weights and try to stay positive but this breaks me down! I'm on pain meds ...I heard Montel Williams also had this issue.. I would love it if you had any knowledge on this subject.. Thank you for being so helpful.. God bless you, I'm so thankful that I found your website..❤

@@connieweber-marcks8310 Hi Connie! I am glad you are here! Trigeminal neuralgia is one of the most painful and debilitating symptoms of MS. I am not a doctor so I can’t give medical advice, but I can share what I have read about it. There doesn’t seem to be much we can do through diet and lifestyle changes to help this vexing symptom. Stress reduction and reducing inflammation may offer limited help. Medications, injections, and perhaps surgery are the best options for this one. Please do not suffer with this debilitating symptom, keep advocating for yourself and seeking relief. Here is some information from the Mayo Clinic that may be helpful. www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/trigeminal-neuralgia/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20353347

Great video, u always do a fantastic job of making things Easy to understand. Do you Have a medical , Science. or nutritional background. Or are these just things you learned over time?

@@motivatedandstrong thanks so much! My degree is in computer science so I have always liked data and research. Since my diagnosis I have received a certificate in plant based nutrition, attended training at the Cleveland clinic on reversing disease with diet, taken a course on gut health and the microbiome with Dr. Will Bulsiewicz, and taken an 8 week course in Mindful Based Stress Reduction. I also follow and study the research. I try to be very careful (full of care) with the information I present and try to ensure it is evidence based.

Thanks for watching. If you have RRMS, relapsing remitting MS, it may get better but I can’t say for sure. I have some numbness on the left side that is permanent. It is annoying, but I have adjusted to it.

@@klassy86 thanks for watching! Yes I am taking the generic of Copaxone. I have been on it for 8 years. Not gonna lie, the first few months were tough with injection site side effects. There was swelling, redness, itching, and burning. But it did settle down and now I hardly notice them. No other side effects.
