Thanks Terry The back corner will be mostly housing I think with some industrial bits at the edge. Got some low relief warehouses from ten commandments that i'm thinking of putting near there. Tri-axle T45s were about, although not a common as the normal 2 axle type. From my reseach most shops like tesco, safeway and mothercare used the 2 axle type. Heavy stuff not seen around town was pulled by bigger more powerful tri-axle t45s.

Hi, love the new additions, really nice layout. The working roller shutter doors are excellent. As a point of info, my dad worked for Texaco Oil, and working at Canvey Island refinery and Depot, his vehicle was one of the first Leyland Road trains on the road. I used to go with him sometimes ( unofficially !! ). The company got him to attend the Southend Bus Rally with it. I took lots of pickys of it on slides, which I still have. Anyway, happy new year, and look forward to more. Roll on good modelling weather..

Thanks mate, I still have some old glue and stuff from Beaties!! Was also thinking of doing a Texas Homecare truck. Oxford do some nice cars for the layout. I'm still waiting for a Ford Sierra, Vauxhall Cavalier, Morris Ital, Renault 19 and Austin Metro though. They're doing a mk1 ford fiesta, so they're heading in the right direction.

Thanks mate The woodland scenics paint was mixed with black to darken it up a bit. The I just painted it straight onto the polyfilla.

Trucks in the 80s were very small compared to trucks today. The trailers have stayed basically the same for decades. It was very common to see a truck with the trailer towering over it as it drove along.

Welcome back & Happy new Year. I've just made a start on my own layout, also in the loft. Will be re-visiting a lot of your videos so I can pinch your idea's. You do have a good eye for modelling and I will/can learn from it. Many thanks.

The ones in the allotments are a mix of the 100 and hornby. Some are a little bit bright, but they look ok.

Tremendous.. Fantastic attention to detail. You have a wonderful imagination, but above all the skill to pull it off. Keep those 'How to' videos coming. They are very easy to follow and full of relevant information.

I used to drive one of those Leyland Road Trains f...ing things couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding when loaded and up hill was a nightmere, empty bounce everywhere. Great update mate a real blast to the 80s like all the new purchases will look great when added. Kev.

Cheers mate.Chuffed you think my layout is good, even at this early stage. I've been watching your vids for a good while & they have been of great help to me,esp the wiring ones! You make everything appear so achievable & your layout continues to impress me,I hope to use your tips on scenic projects to good effect. Due to available time & size my layout will take 5-6+ yrs to build.I like the era you model, I miss loco hauled passenger trains on todays rails.Love your HST.Keep up the great work.

In the siding where the two Railfreight wagons are instead of just having the track disappear into the undergrowth just put a couple of sleepers on the track, because I've noticed that in the rail yard opposite my house they've done that on a couple of sidings that are not used very often. Just a thought. All the best.

I use kadee couplings on the layout. They can be uncoupled with a electromagnet which I will be installing over the next year or so.

The cortina was funny, I never knew ford could fit such a small engine in such a big car! The exhaust fell off my old car in a shopping centre car park once. I had to jack it up and tie the exhaust to the bottom of the steering rack so i could get home!

Hi mate, just been onto expressmodels.co.uk and they supply artic container lorries like the orange one you made. They come unpainted and the detail looks superb. They are only £8.28! and come in a couple of styles/wheel configurations. They also do a Volvo artic lorry front, again unpainted. They are from Knightwing Models International. Hope this helps! You can maybe use these and add to your motorway scene! Cheers

Getting noticed on KZbin is a time consuming process. It's taken me nearly 3 years to get to this level. All I can say is the more you upload, subscribe and talk to other channels, the more you will get noticed and start appearing in peoples recommended for you list. Once that starts happening the ball starts to roll and your channel will look after itself. Really like your layout by the way, i've subbed.

Love the breakers yard with the old caravans and the stuck cortina. I guess its been mentioned before but can you use kingspan or some type of insulation on your house roof it would make a world of differance but it s exspensive . Looking forward to more allotment news!!!!.

Looks like things are coming along nicely, the alotments look good, the bushes and palletes really do add to it. Good job of the artic, look forward to seeing that finished. Those tanks near the electric door TMD look awesome. I do like you're class 31, it's number one on my want list; I got a class 59 in Foster Yeoman livery, for xmas, just gotta her chipped, trying to get some Yeoman wagons cheapish for her to haul :)

Really like your layout and all your videos - they're all inspirational and have been a big help in getting my layout started. I started in 'n' gauge - and beginning to regret it a bit now - partly out of jealousy - your weathered loco's and the carriage lights etc, make all the difference. By the way - could you share your track plan - or provide some details? I'm really intrigued as to how you make your layout look so busy.

Great update - wondered what you'd been up to. I get a lot of tips and information between yourself and Bloodmarine. Tell me, do you have issues with getting the Kadee couplings the correct height for your mix of rolling stock? I hate the mix of tension hook couplings that both Hornby and Bachmann have and when I come to change them, despite inserting in to the NEM pocket, the heights vary considerably.

good to cu back, love the layout. i think where the line curves smoothly out of the station area i think you should have the edge of a wood or something. you have persuaded me to go digital, over the xmas holidays i hve been building my new layout. in sections, same as terry's. what dcc system o you use? at the moment i am using the bachmann e-z command centre, aint bad but you can only have 9 lovos. hoping to upgrade to the hornby select. as i have a-lot of locos tht i want.
