I’ve been using the undyed version for about 6 months now and it’s been excellent. Definitely better as a hip pack or a cross body on your chest, I find it a little awkward on the back but that isn’t enough to detract on the superb organisation and build quality. I used work managing a production line making bags, start to finish, QA ect. The build quality from Evergoods is second to none, the attention to detail, choice of materials and stitching is phenomenal. Hiking, packing a camera, riding to work? This is my go to, a lot of my Bellroy stuff fell out of rotation after getting used to this bag.

Evergoods, Peak Designs, Aer and a few others are on similar levels with build quality and stitching imo, but yea EG are absolutely incredible at what they do

I got the undyed version of this. Wearing it feels like wearing a championship belt lol. It works best as a lumbar bag, it’s the backpack of waist packs lol. It works crossbody on the back too, but the padding and size make it too big for full time front carry for me, and I’m a big guy. Love the dual buckles.

“Championship belt” - nailed it! 😂

The strap management elastic is super normal and been used for ages on military packs like LBT.

I love this type of strap management on my CAS2. The web holders on the strap never stay perfectly in place, you always have to "straighten" them up; this is just set it and forget it. And the more usual on slings tri-clasp (or w/e they're called) have a limited range (they can only go between full length of the strap to 1/2 length, so limited by the actual strap length); those work well on something that needs to only be a sling, or only a hip pack, but when you want to enable both, you need more range. Also never tried the MHP, it's a bit too large for my taste, but the CAS2 is the only bag I've seen that works well as both a sling and a hip pack. It's pretty much spot on as a hip pack and 95% there as a sling. It's not a Bellroy Venture Ready 2.5L, but it sits incredibly well against the body, considering the straps aren't angled upwards. And this looks to be pretty much the same, just bigger.

Honestly, It's not meant to be a sling bag. At least it's not shaped to be. Both sides tongue bothers my back. I was curious if you'd mention that. Which you kind of did. In my opinion Web holder is great for locking the length of the strap. I still prefer the usual elastic band but Web holder works great when you pull it all the way, and it won't get loose at all.

This looks about the biggest that they should be , because when they get too full and heavy they feel uncomfortable around the waist , they are useful for travelling if you have bulkier items , also going through the airport , Passport , charger , phone , cables , pens and lots of other stuff you need
@Nomads.Nation2 ай бұрын
Agreed, it’s really pushing the limit of how big it should be lol

Wow, that's rather big for a hip pack, yet it still functions great as a sling 👍
@Nomads.Nation2 ай бұрын
I’ve gotten mixed responses on how well it functions as a sling, personally I think it’s a good sling but a much better HP (as the name suggests)
@AronConsueloАй бұрын
@@Nomads.Nation 💯Agreed ! It's supposed to be a hip pack, after all.

I've seen that kind of dangle management system. It can undo pretty easily, and you have to roll up the excess dangle again and again. not a fan of it.

The elastic keeper is so annoying it undo itself whenever the strap slip a bit.
