Für Phil, wäre seine Solo Karriere zum Weltbesten Harmoniesänger gewachsen. Er war als Solist fantastisch.

Phil was a saint.

My gosh! What was Don trying to prove with this performance? Um...the band & Phil were trying their best to follow, neither seemed to know what was coming next! Not the Everly sounds we’ve come to love. Frankly, pretty messed up...I have to wonder if this was one of those times they left in separate cars. So sad🌼

Here Phil should be awarded a prize in terms of surviving Don's wild n intense performances! Phil's harmonizing is so brilliant in any condition. Don has an obvious talent for singing freely as he wants.(but this time he did too much, I guess) Love them both !!

Phil must have patients with his brother, such a kind display of love!

Wow. Signs of a pressured tumultuous decade coming to an end? At the start despicable "Miracle" Max "vitamin" injections (which led to a longer traumatic recovery for Don), at the end marital strife (both finalized divorces in 1970); stress of losing their place, place on the music charts; the end of the Warner Bros. 10 year contract; and, then some - push for Phil to have a larger presence in the brothers' act. Indeed time for a much needed cleanse. They did what they had to do returning to perform together again happier, healthier and better - better for it, audiences too.

@elizabethbeckman1947 - Strangely, oddly enough, I feel this wild performance very intensely. I feel Don's explosive, even raging artistic energy, long repressed but suddenly irrepressible. Like a volcano that must erupt because that's what volcanoes do. And the brothers were so sensitively attuned to each other, even in anger, that I'm sure Phil felt exactly what Don was feeling and understood all of it. They seemed to have that kind of love.
