@ion I'm not certain if you know about Project Quarm but they are currently progressing to planes of power. Launched last year and they are about to release Kunark on May 31, with a plan to release PoP sometime at the end of next year i think. Fun community so far!

I love the new EQ 2 server, too! Fist time going back to EQ 2 after playing in EQ 2 classic. I do wish they would have staggered the release a bit further behind Teek though, so my attention wouldn't be so split.

Yeah, the epic bottleneck fixes are really good. It's about time they start (well, they've done some fixes before I guess) recognizing that the breakneck pace of the TLP content releases does not mesh with the *original* design of things taking forever, because expansions no longer come out every year or couple of years. It's crazy that it's taken them this long to fix some of these epic bottlenecks as well as things like VP Key pieces, Lucid Shards, and some other stuff. Slowly (very slowly), but surely, they are making it a little less painful to play on TLPs, and I'm happy about that.

Been playing EQ since Jan. 2001. Stopped playing for a while after Lev Cap 105 came out as a burned out raid cleric. Got back in the game just as they offered the life time account offer and paid for just our primary account. Me and the kids had 3 total. I wished I had paid for the other 2 also. Been getting back into some of these new severs lately. I started on the Tunare server and then I started anew on the Firiona Vie server and a bit on Bristlane. As of today it says I been playing for 23 years and 79 days. Whats weird is, lately, I been playing on the test server .

If you’re thinking of coming back and looking for a raiding guild with a solid culture you should check out qeynos yacht club. High skill players without the ego/neck beard attitude. I was ride or die with them for the entire life of the guild on yelinak. Wouldn’t pick anyone else.

Classic to planes of power is a fantastic server. There's a third party one called Project Quarm. It's got great population numbers. Only problem is the UI and techincal issues, so I would love official support for something like this.

IMO personas still have a little work that needs to be done (like inventory for the gear that is auto swapped when you change) in order to maximize their playability.

Do you think Tormax was intentional? i mean wouldnt splitting the servers populations more 50-50 with a better ruleset for Tormax be worse for Teek? if Teek gets almost all of the players joining it from launch, its surely gonna be more successful, both as fun for us as players and for DPG for funds generated through Kronos etc right? i feel this is the case as the Devs took so long to release another Mischeif clone cos they knew the pop form Mischeif would be drawn to the new server with the result being that Mischeif may not be as populated and therefore not as enjoyable as it has been, i think the way its been done supports Teek and gives it the highest chance of being a super successful server

Yeah you bring up some good points. The thornblade overflow server for Mischief isn't an ideal situation. Teek might do better because it's population won't be split. I think Tormax was just a decision based on corporate metrics, not because it's what people ACTUALLY wanted. But hey, we got Teek. No complaining there!

The server launches over the recent years really have improved, less and less issues with each launch, i hope that DPG can manage Teeks numbers from launch and dont resort to making an ''overflow'' server which would split the population, not long now till we find out =D /excited

EQ2 origins is freaking amazing. I just stopped playing the beta only because of the wipe. Once its fully released i will be playing it again. I havent been this excited since the original EQ2 release

TLP server that end at pop and start back classic would be awesome. Also, its me but I would also add a reward at the end of the cycle for every toon max level. Example, a free bag that you can claim on the server wipe. like you level 3 toon max level. 3 bag of 16 slot of the day 1 of the server start but can only claim on per toon and you can get it on every fresh start. second wipe idk a illusion item same shit. that would be awesome and people would like to have those so they would keep pep around til the max lvl ( more people to group with) and even if you skip a season you can come back 2 season later and still have a reward to start with

They are making lots of great strides. I think the Monk epic needs a lil help, at least for iksars, when it comes to the required belt quests i think it is. having to do those extra rep grinds and stuff is not appealing.

I would enjoy a Phoenix server!!!! I am looking to join a server that is going to be fresh. I would enjoy more slowing the expansion release a little. I am not one that gets his dessert and gulps it down in a single bite. I enjoy the flavor and camaraderie of playing with others. I am willing to start with Kunark, but I think it would be better to go vanilla for 6 months. Give people time to find the server, level up and establish themselves, not rush rush rush to spam higher raids.... that is unless these TLPs have changed since I last played them and have instanced all raids to restrict a single guild from relatively "owning" a raid target every 6-8 days. I don't mind a little passed PoP, but where they started failing EQ was when they started spamming level increases over 65 and making the previous Xpac obsolete like WoW was doing.

Tormax is awesome and people meme it, but there's a population of 300-400 on it. Everyone downplays it because they're just...ignorant. Just little to talk about from people who don't play on it. It's meant for players who just want a genuine experience away from Krono Farmers and massive 6 box bullshit. Everyone hates, but the last 2-3 weeks have been amazing on it, and everybody is pissed that it's still alive and thriving. Anyone who has the outside perspective and makes fun of it for having "3 players" have no idea what they're talking about.

Ive been playing eq2 since 2004. I have eq1 downloaded, but i have no idea how to even get out of the first baby zone :D. I lost patience. If anyone on here, would like to guide me, im down for raiding, tradeskilling etc. Ive got 33 chars on 3 different servers on eq2, so if someone needs help over on AB, HoF, or MD servers. lmk here please. Kinda. You can buy a krono for $18 and trade it to someone else for a lot of money to buy stuff. Then there's like 25% exp bonus potions that last for 2-4 hours...
