Can you use a standard CD player, like an Oppo 103 or 203, for this procedure, instead of a PC - CD player? Could you rip other disks like DVD-A or SACD?

That won’t work. The cd drive is currently going for less than $30 (link in video description)

@@Hifihobby Yes, thank for the answer. Not really. I read that you can create a server (of course both Eversolo and PC have to be connected to the same wifi) and transfer files from a PC to the Eversolo

I am not heard that we can upload files from PC to SSD using WiFi. Usually I just use USB which is fast and stable.

Can you change the ripping bit rate from 16 to 24?

I don’t think that option is available. CDs are encoded in 16 bit though.

If you already have the CD, this can be stored and played quickly and in better sound quality

Although an interesting „how to“ . You do NOT need a SSD for ripping a CD. I have connected my A8 to a NAS and ripping straight to my NAS works a treat.

NAS is another option as well, especially if you need more space and want to share with multiple set ups, but it’s more complicated to set up. The Eversolo A8 is a flexible kit
